This is the week that is set
aside for our club to welcome
the District 5000 Governor
Chet Dal Santo.
DG Chet addressed the Board of Directors bringing us up to date
on D5000 and Rotary International plans for the future. Emphasis
was on membership how, when and where. The emphasis is on
Corporate Membership through larger Corporations. There will
be primary and secondary memberships. The District website
now has yellow pages where different businesses are listed. DG
Chet discussed Vocational Service and Networking to generate
excitement for prospective new members. He also mentioned
Peace Forum sponsorship. A $450 cost per student for Prauge &
Berlin and another in Hiroshima which will require a chaperone
to accompany the students paid by the District.
The BOD also approved $225 check for pins and promotional
materials for Kaiser High School Interact Club.
DG Chet also is pushing for everyone to sign up for the District
Conference January 25-27, 2013 at Turtle Bay Resort. Sign up
forms available on the District website.
T h e
general meeting was called to order with the Pledge and 4 way
test. DG Chet addressed the club with generally the same infor-
mation presented to the BOD. At that time we had dinner, wine
and open floor discussion. The closing of the meeting was had at
about 7PM at which time we continued our visitation.
