KEY REQUIREMENTS

DUTIES:
Performs a variety of administrative and technical support functions in the areas o f personnel,
supply, training, and budget reporting.
Coordinates telephone control, forms control, charge c ard control, time a nd attendance, and
records management.
Uses office automation to consolidate, prepare, and edit various repo rts ensuring accuracy of
spe lling, punctuation, grammar, and fo rmat.
Reviews and routes information, data, reports, and reques ts rec eived requiring response.
Maintains tasking and suspense system determining required action and follows up on taskings.
Consolidates information and data rec eived for budget submitted, prepares budget reviews, and
monitors and assists in the preparation of budget e stimates.
Serves as the hand receipt holder for property book items and maintains reco rds to account for
turn in or transfer of equipment.
Serves as the training coo rdinator and provides a ssistance in coordinating the incentive awards
program.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
One year of spe cialized expe rience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next
lower grade within the federal se rvice, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the
position, is required.
SPECIALIZED EXPEREINCE: performing a variety of administrative support functions which includes
providing administrative, technical and general office s upport duties to an organization; providing
support and a ssistance on personnel, supply, training, and budget reporting and processes ; utilizing
office automation to create, retrieve, update, manipulate and sto re elec tronic data ; and preparing,
editing and formatting documents and repo rts.

completed education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation, or the
equivalent, is a prerequisite may be substituted to meet the spe cialized experience requirement.
Equivalent combinations of success fully completed education and expe rience may be used to meet
total experience requirements. If you are using education to s ubstitut e for s pecialized
experience, you must submit t ranscripts (official or unofficial) or some for m of proof of
your education. To be c reditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited co llege or
university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Failure t o provide
documentat ion at the t ime of processing, or a dete rmination that you do not pos sess
sufficient education and experience t o meet t he total qualification requirements, will
result in an ineligible rating.
Background or Sec urity Investigation: This is a non-critical sensitive position. Employment
in this position requires a background investigation which may delay your starting date. If you are
selec ted and cannot obtain a favorable security determination within a reasonable pe riod of time due

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:
Your application will be evaluated and rated under the Catego ry Rating and Selec tion Procedures. We
will review your resume and supporting documentation and compare this information to your responses
on the occupational questionnaire to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications for this job.

will then be placed for selec tion consideration into 3 categories as de scribed be low:
1. Qualified Category. Meets the minimum qualifications and demonstra tes minimum expe rience
and/or training only based on responses to occupational questionnaire.
2. Highly Qualified Category. Meets the minimum qualification requirements and demonstrates full-performance level experience based on responses to occupational questionnaire.
3. Bes t Qualified Category. Meets the minimum qualification requirements and demonstrates
experience as an expert in the field or recognized as a senior spec ialist, team lead, etc.
Application of Veterans Preference: The Category Rating Method does not add veterans'
preference po ints or apply the "rule o f three," but protects the rights of veterans by placing them
ahead o f non-preference eligibles within each catego ry. Preference eligible's who meet minimum

percent must be listed in the highest quality catego ry, except when the po sition being filled is scientific
or professional at the GS-9 g rade level o r higher. A selec ting official may make se lections from the
highest quality category (Best Qualified) provided no preference eligible in that catego ry is passed
over to selec t a non-preference eligible in that catego ry unless the requirements of 5 U.S.C. 3317(b) or
3318(b) are satisfied.
The Assessment Questionnaire takes approximately 15 minutes t o complete and
collects information on your education, training and experience related t o the following
critical compete ncies:
Ability to provide administrative support.
Skill in planning, organizing, and coordinating activities and office schedules
Skill in using computers and various software programs
Ability to communicate orally
Ability to communicate in writing

WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT:
Once the online questionnaire is received you will receive a n acknowledgement email that your
submission was successful. The questionnaire will assess your qualifications for the job, and will be
used to identify the best qualified applicants to be re ferred to the hiring manager for further
