Use if you forgot your password or your password has expired.
Cellphone registration needed to use this utility. Setup during activation of account. Can setup or change later through iaccounts.
Parents cannot call to get their student’s password changed.

By the end of the week after orientation when you log into MyIUP you will see a countdown to Welcome Weekend and a set of next steps that you should complete before coming to campus in the Fall.

- Used for online classes and to enhance on campus classes- Uses your Network username and Password for access- Accessible via the web through the MyIUP portal
A number of the items you will be asked to complete before coming to campus will be modules in D2L. These modules will help reinforce information presented in sessions like this one and help you get acclimated to life at IUP.
IUP E-Mail Account
- Official means of communication with IUP.Faculty, Staff, bills, The Beak (Daily newsletter)- Web access (http://imail.iup.edu/).- Email username is the same 4 letters as
your network username, but can have a different password because it’s a separate account.
- Alias based on name ([email protected])- IMAP service available.- Set it up on your mobile device using
Airwatch.
Phishing Emails
The IT Support Center and every other IUP department WILL NEVER request passwords, especially via e-mail. Users should NEVER respond to these phishing attempts.
Software Available to IUP StudentsThe following software can be downloaded by IUP students. There is no cost for the downloads or any software updates.
• Office 365: Available for Windows, Mac and Mobile• Available applications: Word, Excel, Power Point, One Note,
Outlook, Publisher (Windows Only) and Access (Windows Only).
• Sophos: IUP has a site license for Sophos Anti-Virus. Updated virus protection is essential, even for Macs!
• Malwarebytes: Anti-Malware (anti-malware): Comprehensive anti-malware software with built in real-time protection.

Wired NetworkResidential Network (ResNet)
- Preferred for Academic usage - At least one Port Per Resident- Additional ports in Living Area in Suites- High Speed Access (up to 1 Gb)- Need to Authenticate using IUP network
account information (iconnect)- Other network devices such as game machines
and streaming media devices can be setup to work on the wired network. You need to register your machine’s mac address to do this. Instruction on how to do this can be found at: http://www.iup.edu/resnetYou can not connect these devices to wireless.
Wireless Network⁻ Over 1500 access points across campus ⁻ All academic buildings and the library⁻ Will work with smart phones/laptops/tablets⁻ Needs setup initially for full access.
Authentication using network account information required. You can then go to http://iconnect.iup.edu to setup 5 year authentication.
⁻ Note: Game Machines, wireless printers and streaming media devices will not work on IUP’s wireless, only the wired network

Network Acceptable Use Policy
⁻ Use of server software such as Frostwire and Bittorrent is not allowed on IUP’s Network. Sharing copyrighted material using these types of programs could result in legal action against you by the copyright holder.
⁻ Do not extend network access from a wired port with a switch, hub or wireless router.
⁻ If you bring a wireless printer, please disable wireless on the printer and use a USB cable.
⁻ Failure to follow the Acceptable Use Policy will get your network access revoked.

Financial Obligations Students must officially check out of the building
If your student is signed up for housing but is not planning
to live on campus for any reason they need to email [email protected] and inform us of their plans
It is the student's responsibility to inform the Housing office of their future semester plans
If we are not informed a student is not returning prior to the start of the semester, charges for housing and meals for the full semester will be assessed
