Look for astamp on the packagethat says GMP, whichstands for “Good Manu-facturing Practices,” andindicates that it was in-spected by an outside laband found to containwhat the label states.USP is another symbolfound on quality prod-ucts. This indicates thatit has the stamp of ap-proval from the United
States Pharmocopeia, agroup committed to im-proving the standards oflabeling and quality con-trol.
It’s not always easy tofind supplements withgood quality labeling. Irecently went to a healthstore for a specific prod-uct and not one of the sixbrands on the shelf hadeither a GMP or a USPseal. So, buyer beware!Carefully read the label.
