WelcomeChad Henderson!

At the Ramos Center, we have a holistic view of the patient. We take into consideration not only the physical aspect but also the emotional well being of our patients. There

is a fine line between treatment with opiates and addiction to this type of medication. For patients prescribed more than 100 mg of opiate medication a day, we want to ensure that we are keeping them from crossing that line.

One of our goals is to identify any signs of addictive behavior. A patient may need physical relief from pain but we need to know that there is not a psychological dependency of the opiates prescribed.

In order to achieve this objective, the Ramos Center has implemented a new protocol for patients taking a high dosage of morphine or its derivative. These patients will be evaluated at least once a year. The evaluation takes place in our offices (both Bradenton or Sarasota) and is conducted by a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. The diagnosis is sent to the provider who will make a decision about continuing or changing your treatment options. If you need more information, please speak to your Ramos Center provider.

Pain & Balance Physical Therapy, located on the second floor of the

Ramos Center’s Bradenton location, is now a Graston Provider! Graston Technique® is an innovative, evidence-based soft tissue treatment that detects and effectively breaks down scar tissue and fascial restrictions, as well as maintain optimal range of motion.

This non-invasive technique uses specially designed stainless steel instruments to help the Physical Therapist identify and treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. The Graston Technique can also help with chronic back pain and movement dysfunction. It also allows a clinician to get as deep into the tissue as necessary to invoke change, yet be sensitive to patient pain and tolerance.

In time, this process will reduce or eliminate the adhered fibers, restoring range of motion and eliminating the associated pain. It will help transform your soft tissue injury into healthy functioning tissue.

Happy New You!

Mind and SuccessKatiuska Ramos Clinical Hypnotherapy

“ Achieve better health, personal happiness and professional success through Clinical Hypnotherapy.”

Painful sensations in our bodies may come from a wide range of causes from chronic conditions to

debilitating disease. Independently of the stimulant, the path the pain takes to communicate to our brain and our basic physiological reactions are the same.

Since our bodies are greatly influenced by our mental expectancy, our emotions, previous experiences, and expectations take a great toll on our symptoms and behaviors. Therefore, to achieve a reduction or elimination of your pain, you will use three fundamental procedures:

1. You will transform, alter, or displace your pain through direct suggestions and imagery in hypnosis.

2. You will experience deep relaxation to reduce stress and anxiety.

3. You will direct your attention away from your issue through positive images.

The influence of our mind in our body is undeniable. Consequently, when you change your mind, you can change your body. Hypnosis is a safe and effective way reduce or eliminate your symptoms and live a healthier life.
