1.1Description of construction of modular control units. Parts included.
Modular control units (MCU) is a precast construction, consisting of a housing with a lid (door), cable glands, internal components (terminals, tire-barrier, etc.) and external components such as buttons, switches, pilot lights. Housing (shell) of modular control units has the seal between cover and to provide ingress protection at least IP66.
Modular control units shown in the following series: MT, MB, MP, MC. The main element of MCU is the housing (several housings) with cover or hinged door, which in turn are fixed with screws. The housing mounted certified Ex components. On the sides of housings set certified cable glands, connection modules or other external built-in items. On the cover can be installed built-in certified elements.
The design of MCU series MT, MB, MP, MC determined by the project, which is developed for a specific design, based on the requirements of technical specifications TС (technical condition) 3431-001 - 15232514-07, GOST R 51330.0-99, GOST 51330.1-99, GOST R 51330.6 - 99, GOST 51330.8-99, GOST R 51330.10-99; 51330.17-99 GOST, IEC P 61241-1-1-99 and other regulatory documents.
Material of housing:• glass reinforced polyester• aluminum alloy with corrosion-resistant coating• stainless steel
Wide dimensional range used in MCU housings allows us to offer a variety of solutions for the problem, considering the necessary constructive units and features at the site of installation.
Material of cable glands and plugs - brass and nickel-plated brass, polyamide. On special request we can manufacture cable glands of stainless steel and aluminum. The choice of cable glands is based on the characteristics of the cable used, considering the capabilities to choose the housings and the wishes of the customer.
Screw terminals and external elements - Ex-certified components are allowed for use in junction boxes, electrical cupboard and control stations and alarm. The choice of terminals is based on the characteristics of the cable used, considering the capabilities to choose the housings and the wishes of the customer.
Accesories and special execution on request:internal / external ground rod, internal plate earthing continuity (copper), silicone gasket , mounting plate, internal ground bus, hinges.

1.1Serial range of MCU
Modular control unit shown in the following series:
• Terminal Module (МТ)- an enclosure within which the terminals are installed (and / orother Ex-components) or distribution busbars. On the sideperimeter of the shell are set cable glands, connection modulesor other external components. This series is used as a terminalbox for connections and distributions of the various circuits ofthe control systems, signaling and communications.
• Barrier Module (МВ)– this series is similar in design to the MT series, except toinstall in shell an intrinsically safe electrical equipment. Thisseries is used for connecting and switching intrinsically safecircuits.
• Protective Module (MP)– a housing, which contains various protection devices (Ex-components) - fuses. On the side perimeter of the shell are setcable glands, connection modules or other externalcomponents. This series is used for the protection of variouselectrical systems.
• Control Module (МС)- an enclosure within which the terminals are installed (and / orother Ex-components) or distribution busbars. On the sideperimeter of the shell are set cable glands, connection modulesor other external components. On the cover or hinged doorhousing (shell) installed certified for this purpose command,signal, display modules - push button latching and non-latching, rotary switches, potentiometers, emergency stopbuttons, pilot lights, etc. These elements can be mounted on thelid, or a hinged door, and on the support rails mounted insidethe shell. Aluminum housing of MCU proved as junction boxes and control stations for placement of various electronic components. It produced by injection molding and has excellent anti-corrosive characteristics, including marine. These devices have high mechanical and thermal resistance, and that's why we can use it in harsh industrial environments. MCU has 58 standard size of shell which make possible to solve various tasks on the wiring cables, as well as challenges for the assembly of control devices according to customer specifications.
• PolyesterGRP (glass reinforced polyester) MCU has increased reliability.
Material has high resistance to oil, aromatic hydrocarbons,
bacteria and enzymes pollution; resistant to mechanical stress and has a long service life. Polyester antistatic and non-corrosive. This is achieved by use of polyester body material SMC, fiberglass reinforcement which is in the form of fortified sheets, not threads (DMC), which is used by most manufacturers. Using the SMC-polyester gives the greatest strength of the housing and, in the case of exposure to open flame, its structure does not lose strength and grip even in burning resin when exposed high temperatures.
• Stainless steel Stainless steels have high strength and resistance to aggressive
environments, including seawater. More than 60 dimensions used in the MCU housing of stainless steel, can offer different solutions for the problem. Advantages of MCU
In our products we use components of famous manufacturers, tested and received the international and Russian certificates.
Housing products are made of high quality materials: polyester (МТР, МВР, МРР, МСР), aluminum alloy Al Si – 12 (МТА, МВА, МРА, МСА) and 316L stainless steel (МТС, МВС, МРС, МСС).
Cable glands used in MCU, have passed all necessary tests and received certification in Europe, America, Australia and Russia. Wide range cable entry allows connection in fact all types of cables - armored, unarmoured, in grid and lead sheath, installed in a pipe or metal hose. Arsenal cable entries allow us to provide a solution for cables with diameters from 3.1 mm to 130 mm. Sealing rings and locknuts are always installed, because the ring is reinforce protection the device from external influences, and locknuts is additionally reinforce the cable entry and provide a lead in the ground circuit with a copper plate continuity. In all MCU series terminal blocks are used only famous manufacturers. Information on applicable standard terminal blocks provided in Appendix 3.3.3. Terminals are mounted on a standard rail.

MT SERIES
Modular control unit (MCU) MT series is a modern solution for wiring and cable connections in systems of power supply, signaling and communications. They are approved for use in Zone 1 and 2, 21 and 22, as well as indoor and areas of common industrial and household purposes. The advantage of these products is that they can be executed on the basis of a set of polyester, aluminum or stainless steel. Now it is possible to find all the necessary components to best meet all the requirements of the project, depending on the conditions in which the device is operated. Housing, cable glands, terminal blocks and accessories shown in this catalog, allows you to create a variety of devices that act as terminal connectors and junction boxes. They can be used as a shell to contain the various components, and is used in the more complex devices.
APPLICATIONThe main purpose of MCU MT series – use them as terminal
boxes in hazardous areas of industrial enterprises.
