Dear Parish Family, members, attendees, guest and seekers,

The Lord be with you!

Next weekend will be our third and final BUSY PARISH RE-TREAT SUNDAY, for the year. We have given out over 3,000 retreat books. Would you PLEASE reread chapter two, as I sum up our parish wide retreat for the year. How is your Personal Prayer Time of ten minutes or more coming along? Remember, I am not talking about saying pray-ers, but having a daily time in which you have a two way con-servation with God. Church, IF YOU ARE TOO BUSY TO PRAY, YOU ARE BUSIER THAN WHAT GOD WANTS YOU TO BE.

Last Saturday we held our VERY FIRST middle school retreat. Here we are after the 4pm Mass. I am grateful to our Retreat Team and the students who were PIONEERS, in this new ad-venture. It takes bravery to be the first in your group to do something new and I am proud of these students who gave up one of their Saturdays to grow closer to the Lord as one of His Disciples. Did you know the Church owned property on Ferrell street? It was purchased years ago for a possible convent!!! Instead of a convent we are going to build a Rectory. We will be selling our current Rectory which is ideal for a large growing family; it has 6 bedrooms, a game room in the basement, (yes it has a basement) a pool and large backyard. It is a lot more house than we need to upkeep. In the long run, we will be saving several thousand dollars a year by this move. Over the past year I have worked with the Pastoral and Finance Councils, along with the Diocese on planning this building. The cost of construction will be paid for pri-marily by sale of the current house, therefore no loan will be necessary. I'll keep you updated on our progress.

¡El Señor este con Vosotros! El próximo fin de semana será nuestro tercer y último OCUPA-DO RETIRO PARROQUIAL, durante el año. Hemos dado más de 3,000 libros de retiro. Por favor, relea el capítulo dos, mien-tras hago un resumen de nuestro retiro parroquial del año. ¿Cómo va su hora de oración personal de diez minutos o más? Recuerde, no estoy hablando de decir oraciones, sino tener un tiempo diario en el cual usted tiene una conserva-ción de dos con Dios. Iglesia, SI USTED ESTÁ DEMASIADO OCUPADO PARA ORAR, USTED ESTA MAS OCUPADO DE LO QUE DIOS QUIERE QUE ESTE.

El sábado pasado tuvimos nuestro PRIMER retiro de escuela intermedia. Aquí estamos después de la Misa de las 4pm. Estoy agradecido con nues-tro equipo de retiro y los estudiantes que fueron PIONEROS, en esta nueva aventura. Se necesita valentía para ser el primero en tu grupo a hacer algo nuevo y estoy orgulloso de estos estudiantes que renunciaron a uno de sus sábados para acercarse al Señor como uno de sus discípulos.

Sabia usted que la Iglesia es dueño de una propiedad en la calle Ferrell? ¡Se com-pró hace años para un posible convento! En lugar de un convento vamos a cons-truir una rectoría. Estaremos vendiendo nuestra rectoría actual que es ideal para una familia grande; tiene 6 dormitorios, una sala de juegos en el sótano, (sí, tiene un sótano) una piscina y un gran patio trasero. Es mucho más casa de lo que nece-sitamos para mantener. A largo plazo, ahorraremos varios miles de dólares al año con esta mudanza. Durante el último año he trabajado con el Consejo Pastorales y de Finanzas, junto con la Diócesis en la planificación de este edificio. El costo de la construcción se pagará principalmente con la venta de la casa actual, por lo tanto, no será necesa-rio tomar un préstamo. Te mantendré informado sobre nuestro progreso. Maranatha,

Para las familias Migrantes Llamar el Lunes, Miércoles o Jueves entre las horas de

10:15am – 3:30pm 813-752-8251 ext. 321

El Ministerio de Migrantes estará ofreciendo clases para aprender Ingles los lunes por la tarde. Registraciones son los lunes, miércoles y jueves de 10am-4pm en la oficina parroquial.

El costo por los materiales es $20.00.
