October Issue Pets of Claymont Junior High 

School By: Tiarra Clift, Savannah Cunningham, Samantha Mann, Kaylee Farrow     Today we found out that in Claymont Junior High School we have a lot of students and teachers that have all sorts of kinds of pets like rabbits,dogs,cats,pigs,turtles,etc

 so we went around and ask them how many pets and what kind?The first student we interviewed was Emily Reynolds and she said she has 3 pets two cats and 1 dog.We also interviewed Jakyha Burdette and he said he had 12 pets, 6 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 rabbits.  

Tuscarawas Fair By:Kylie Crowe, Bryanne Hostetler,

This week, we interviewed Hunter Jackson and Tyler Brown. We asked them questions like, “Why do you like the fair?” “How was the fair?”. We asked Hunter, “ What do you like about the fair?” he responded by saying, “ That we don't have to stand in one place and can run around.” Also, we asked Tyler, “Do you want to be in 4­H one day” and he responded by saying, “Sure.” We had fun interviewing on this topic.The Tuscarawas County Fair was fun and hopefully everyone had a great time because I know we sure did! We can’t wait for next year’s fair!

Music! By: Samantha Mann, Savannah Cunningham, And Kaylee Farrow  Some of the genres of music some people like is pop, country, rap, pop mixed and rock. Some bands are Zac Brown Band, and 5 Seconds Of Summer. So we interviewed 3 people on what their favorite genre of music was. Alyssa Sproul said country, Ace Millikin said country also, and Kinzie Greenwalt also said country.

Comedy is intended to make an audience laugh.  The popular iphone app called “Vine” is mostly used for comedy so it makes people laugh. One thing that is trending on a Vine is “what are those?.”  Comedy is all around us. From TV shows, to popular videos on the internet, or popular six second videos on Vine.

 Fashion

Kennedy Beckley, Madison Cadle, Haylee Heavilin.

 Madisyn Rummel and Murphy White were interviewed on fashion. We asked them questions such as, “Would you ever buy clothing made of an animal?” Madisyn exclaimed with, “No, because that’s just mean!”  We also asked, “What’s your least favorite brand?” Murphy stated,“Levis.” It  was a lot of fun interviewing Madisyn and Murphy on this topic.  So a lot of students at claymont junior high school wear different styles, brands, and colors of shoes. So we decided to interview a few people about their shoes here are the people we interviewed. The first was Terria Clift and the shoes she had on were flipflops. Next we interviewed Grace Birney and the shoes she had on were Nike tennis shoes. Also we interviewed Hayden English about his Crocs. Last we interviewed Grant Stewart about his Under Armour shoes. These are the people we interviewed.

 Our topic is Horoscopes so we interviewed 5 people. These people include Mr.Golec, Miss  Barlow, Madisyn Rummell, Tj Zurcher and Murphy White. Mr.Golecs horoscope is Virgo, Miss Barlow is a Cancer, Tj and Murphy are Scorpio, and Madisyn is a Pisces.

7th Grade Volleyball Update

      Today we interviewed Trinity Jones about the 7th grade volleyball team and how they did against Tusky Valley. The first thing we asked her was “what do you think you girls could work?” on and she replied by saying “We could work on our communication.” Then she added in, that they were scared of them because they were a lot bigger than us. After that, we interviewed Paige Hicks and we asked her the same questions and she said that they need to work on their offence and communication. So it sounds like they all know what they did wrong.

OSU Football Review By:Brandon Pittis

      Since 1936, there has only been 8 back­to­back NCAA championship victories.  That’s a 9.87% chance of it happening again this year but I feel that Ohio State could make it happen yet again.  The fact that Ohio State has not one but two quarterbacks that could potentially start is just astounding.  And just to add to the flame former quarterback Braxton Miller made the decision to switch to halfback which just adds speed to the offense.  I feel that this could easily the best Ohio State football roster ever!  Especially next week when they play Hawaii and players Corey Smith, Dontre Wilson, Jalin Marshall and, star defensive­end Joey Bosa become eligible to play after being suspended for marijuana use.  These four players just add so much more to this already loaded Ohio State roster. This year will be the ninth back­to­back winning championship season in in the past 80 years, I’m sure of it. 

  

Schilling’s Classroom Election By: Riley Sramick

You may have noticed some competition going on. Mr. Schillings classes are holding an election. It includes: president, governor, senate and mayor. We interviewed some of the 8th grade candidates for some information about their tactics.         The first person we interviewed was Chance Ochsenbine who is running for president. He told us that he should win because he’d help the homeless and make healthcare available for everyone. Also running for president is Kyler Cox, he says that he should win because he brings the best opportunities and ideas, as well as being the best leader. Samone Sheperd says that if she wins she will unify everyone and stop illegal immigrants. Running for senate is James Long who states that he “Can make those changes” that are needed. Thomas Zurcher (running for governor) and Zack Jones (mayor) both exclaimed that they should win because they are awesome. As you can see it's gonna be a tough election. We interviewed many other candidates deserving of votes but this is the jist of their ideas.

There are a lot of clubs to join, but the most honorable would have to be Student Council. The student council holds many fundraisers which makes money for school activities. For example our school held two school dances because of the student council. The Claymont Junior High teacher who currently leads it would be Mr. Schilling. Addison Bausch a member of the student council has answered the question how do you think your chances are of being vice president? And he responded “I think my chances are good, because I am older and have more experience”. The Student Council is a club you should join and is recommended for it is great for a job resume.

      These new movies coming out such as Paper towns, The Visit, Vacation, and American Sniper have new details revealed. In the romantic category, according to Google Paper Towns is a based on a novel by John Green where the main character Quentin meets Margo and they went on a night adventure and pulled pranks on people who betrayed her. The next day Margo was nowhere to be found, so he goes on a adventure to find her.      The next movie is The Visit where according to Google, Becca and Tyler head to their grandparents house for the first time, it all seems fine until they start noticing strange behavior and wonder if they will get out alive. According to Google, in American Sniper, Bradley Cooper is assigned on mission to protect his fellow soldiers and then becomes one of the most lethal snipers in America and makes a lot of enemies in the process which makes him a target for all insurgents. In the comedy section Vacation, according to Google, Rusty Griswold head on a cross country journey to Wally World and along the way a lot of misadventure.
