Who is Killing the Great Chefs of York or Stretching the Truth at

"The Goldenrod”?

AGES – 6 and up It is a scandal that is rocking the Seacoast town! Some of the region’s most famous chefs are being murdered in the most unusual ways. How about the doughnut girl who quit her job at the factory because she was done with the hole business, or the man who delivered cashews while driving everyone nuts! It is the hope of our detective that the International Food Show, being held at the York Harbor Inn, will spring the trap that will catch the murderer.  Participants will assist the detective in the competition while performing some detective work of their own. All of these precautions prove useless once the killer strikes again.

* Performance at the Goldenrod, Thursday evening, May 19th.* Tickets will go on sale May 1st

York Senior Center(Book Club/Movie Club)“ME BEFORE YOU”

We are excited to offer a new program to our members….."Beyond the Pages” to many of our avid readers! This program will feature and combine 2 activities into one! Reading a book that soon will be a movie and Rolling Out of York

to enjoy the movie which is based on our book. We are hoping to offer this new program 3-4 times within the year.Beyond the Pages is simple. First you will have the opportunity to read the book chosen. You may purchase the book selected for reading on your own, obtain it at the library or as a convenience we will order the book for you and you may purchase it through us. Time will be given to read the book, and join us in a book discussion. Following our book discussion, members who are part

of this program will have the opportunity to ³Roll Out of York² and enjoy a matinee movie performance of the book they just read at a local movie theater for a minimal fee for the transportation...($4.00) and the movie will be on your own...hopefully with

a senior discount (that I will checking into). We also will be able to take this a step further if it is the decision of the group to enjoy lunch on their own at a local eatery as well before the movie. We can discuss that option with each group.

To kick off our new program we have chosen the book “Me Before You.” This story is about a young & cranky man, Chase Young and quirky woman, Louisa "Lou" Clark (Emilia Clarke) moves from one job to the next to help her family make ends meet. Her cheerful attitude is put to the test when she becomes a caregiver for Will Traynor (Sam Claflin), a wealthy young

banker left paralyzed from an accident two years earlier. Will's cynical outlook starts to change when Louisa shows him that life is worth living. As their bond deepens, their lives and hearts change in ways neither one could have imagined. This movie is

scheduled to be released in early June 2016.If you would like to participate in this program, please register at the Senior Center. I f you would like to purchase the book through us, I will be taking orders March 2 18 so the books will be available April 1.  So mark your calendars and join us.

Rolling Out of York is excited to announce that we are now ³Rolling Beyond the Horizons.² Many of our travelers and members have expressed an interest in international traveling. After researching many options, we are expanding our current trip program to include 1 international trip a year and starting in 2017 we will be including 1 cruise trip per year as well. This in no way will

deter from our regular day trips and overnight trips that we are happy to offer to you now but to be able to offer some of you this great opportunity as well is what are goal is. Regarding our new international trip program, we have been working with different

agencies as we have in the past to get our members the best prices, accommodations, tours, and many extras that we feel are important to have this program be successful with your needs and interests in mind. We have joined partners with a few different

agencies which we feel will be able to meet with our expectations of what is provided to you. So mark your calendars and plan to join us in April for a slide show presentation which will feature the highlights and destination
