The first EANS Congress in the new decade will take place in Belgrade. Lukas Rasulić and his team, and the Scientific Committee of the EANS under the guidance of Francesco Sala will put a programme together, which shall attract many colleagues - young and older - to present concepts and results from their basic and clinical research to inspire the world of neurosurgery. Complemented by expert plenary lectures and by subspecialty workshops the EANS Congress will act as a platform to show cutting-edge neurosurgical techniques and technology from within the European arena and beyond.

The fact that Belgrade will serve as the host city of the Congress signifies that EANS is acting as an articulation at the crossroads between European and Eurasian countries and their distinct neurosurgical cultures. That is an important aspect when looking at our congress cities of the past and of the future. And, it allows the regional neurosurgical peers and their neuroscientific and technological environment to present themselves to a larger audience and to propel the interest of their health care politicians and scientific organisations in their activities. Consequently, the role of the EANS Congress cannot be overestimated in that regard, and I am confident that it will raise the interest of various important regional South-Eastern European political stakeholders as well.

After having hosted a very successful EANS Training Course already in 2018, our whole community is looking forward to yet another landmark event in Belgrade. The Belgrade team as well as the whole EANS is looking forward to receiving you on the occasion of our congress in October 2020!

ATTENDEES

The European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS) is a fast-developing independent association, both of European neurosurgical societies and of individual neurosurgeons from all over the world.

Our objective is to enable our members to enhance the care they deliver to their patients by facilitating the exchange of scientific information at the highest level. In pursuit of this goal, we arrange a wide range of meetings, symposia and educational courses, including the European Congress of Neurosurgery and the highly regarded European Training Courses in Neurosurgery.

We recognise the huge part that e-learning plays in the advancement of scientific knowledge, and are delighted to be able to provide a comprehensive online library of neurosurgical material via the EANS Academy. At the same time, that there is no substitute for "being there", and therefore offer a growing number of fellowship and observership programmes, both on our own account and in collaboration with selected partners.

We are delighted that both our membership and the number of participants at our major meetings and events continue to grow, and are keen to work together with industry partners to bring the most exciting and innovative products and techniques to our audience via both on-site and virtual exhibition and sponsorship. All payments must be made on time. Delay of payment may cause cancellation of the booth or may lead to denial of setup.

EXHIBITION LAYOUTThe organiser reserves the right to change the exhibition floor layout if necessary. The organiser reserves the right to amend or alter the exact site of the location and/or booth in any unforeseen circumstances and the exhibitor agrees to any alteration to the site or the space re-allocated by the organiser. Combined exhibition spaces will be deemed as one single space and a new space number might be given.

EXHIBITION STAND/ REGULATIONS/ MANUALThe exhibitor accepts all regulations that will be published in the technical exhibition manual. The organiser reserves the right to prohibit any action taken at the exhibition space if deemed dangerous and/or is violating the regulations of the technical manual.

To ensure the quality and safety of the exhibition it is necessary that all spaces will be equipped with either a shell scheme stand or a custom-made stand that clearly separates from any neighbouring space (roll up banners or similar not sufficient) at the cost of the exhibitor. The costs mentioned in this agreement do not include any equipment other than standard electricity (single phase connection).

CONFIRMATIONConfirmation of your reservation and booth allocation will be e-mailed to you with an accompanying VAT invoice for the deposit due.

All companies are required to pay VAT at the prevailing rate.

CANCELLATION POLICYCancellation received in writing:

§ on or after December 1st, 2019: 20% cancellation fee. § on or after February 1st, 2020: 30% cancellation fee. § on or after April 1st, 2020: 50% cancellation fee.§ on or after July 1st, 2020: 100% cancellation fee.
