Did you know that over 100 million women in the world are missing? Unaccounted for? Have simply disappeared? Half the Sky, written by two journalists from the New York Times, speaks of the numerous injustices women have faced for generations. More girls were killed in the last 50 years, precisely because they were girls, than men killed in all the wars in the 20th century. Take that in for a minute. And then consider, More girls are killed in this routine gendercide in any one decade than people were slaughtered in all the genocides of the 20th century. Because of realities like these, the Women Worth A Million program exists. In spite of unfortunate circum- stances, we desire to reach women’s hearts for God and offer hope and tools for a better future. As we think back over the many wonderful things that have taken place over the past few years of the Women Worth A Million program here at Healing Hands International, we are overwhelmed at the goodness of God. He alone has enabled us to work with women in four different countries (with other countries on the list for the future!), and affect the lives of many women, their communities, and their families. We are extremely grateful for the doors He has opened to us already, and in response to that blessing, we want the focus of this newsletter to be on the power of prayer. We are asking you to bring the needs of our sisters abroad before our Father, and expect him to work in their lives powerfully in response to those prayers. On the back of this sheet, you will ﬁnd the speciﬁc requests of each country leader in India, Ghana, Mozambique and Haiti. For each of the women’s groups and the countries they represent, we ask you pray for peace in their governments, for wisdom for their community leaders, and for unity in the local church. Roberta in Haiti: Pray for strength to do His work as we are dealing with the after affects of a virus called chikungunya that hit Haiti earlier this year. Pray also for a group of women here that are starting a dress business. They are almost ready to open up shop, but need a few more details to fall into place.

Elizabeth in Ghana: My prayer request is that God should give me strength to do His work. Also, I ask for traveling mercies as I go from one village to the other to train the women.

Prasanthi in India: I need you to pray for a new building for which I can use to teach sewing. I need you to pray for the church here, that we will be able to save enough money to buy the land we need to build upon.
