At Oakmont we want you to just be yourself as we grow together in faith and life! Churches often get a bad rap because people often find that they can’t be who they are when they attend. One of the reasons I’m thankful for Oakmont and our college group here is that we’re all very unique but yet are able to come together and worship and grow together- just as we are. Over the past few months I’ve read Facebook posts, tweets and emails from students (you!) sharing how much Oakmont has been a place where everyone feels welcome. I hope that you are finding that to be true too! Genesis 1:26 says: “then God said, ‘let us make mankind in our image, according to our likeness.’” This means that each of us is created in the image of God, no matter who we are. This fact unites us and should make the Church a place where all of those created in God’s image (everyone!) can come together, as they are, and worship and grow in their faith. I am thankful that many of you are finding Oakmont is that kind of church. I’m also thankful for each and every one of you and for what you each bring to Oakmont! Keep being exactly who you are... you’re all awesome. - Lawrence

College Ministry @ Oakmont Baptist Church

GET PLUGGED IN & BE YOURSELFWe want to meet where you are and as you are.

Genesis 1:26 says: “then God said, ‘let us make mankind in our

image, according to our likeness.’” This means that each of us is created in the image of God, no matter who we are.
