Veterans Day at OakmontIn November, we celebrate Veterans Day to honor all those who have served our country. To thank our residents who have served and acknowledge the many veterans in our country, Oakmont communities are hosting a wide variety of events. Many communities will hold Veterans Day celebrations to acknowledge the sacrifice their resident veterans made to protect our country. Others have come up with creative fundraisers, like a car wash, with proceeds benefitting organizations that support families who’ve lost a loved one serving in the Armed Forces. Some are using the holiday as an educational opportunity and hosting seminars to provide information about veterans benefits. Whatever your Oakmont community is doing, we hope that you will join us to celebrate our nation’s heroes and give thanks for their service.

We are pleased to introduce Jennifer Hope, a member of Segovia's housekeeping department. Jennifer has worked for Oakmont for 12 years; she began at Oakmont of Chino Hills and transferred to Segovia when we opened in 2010. Jennifer always has a smile on her face. She works hard and residents appreciate her positive attitude. When asked what she likes most about her role, Jennifer says she looks forward to seeing the residents every day. Jennifer was raised in Fiji. When she was 23 years old, she immigrated to the United States. Jennifer and her husband travel to Fiji every few years to visit her family.

We are grateful for her many contributions and we're glad to call Jennifer a member of our team!
