fter years of work on the art of applying advanced technologies,
Moseley is proud to unveil the NXE1... the world’s first spectrum-scalable
digital radio.
Designed to achieve the widest array of desirable characteristics, this open- architecture, modular system features international con-nectivity, global standard compliance, and harmonious coexistence with other trans-mission products.
Its breakthrough technolo-gies were developed from the idea that Flexibility, Reliability, Security, and Comprehensive Design are
A
paramount in the decision to incor-porate wireless data networking components into any system.
The unique features of the NXE1 demonstrate Moseley’s commitment to quality, and our continuing efforts to push the envelope to create a new industry standard.

RARELY DOES TECHNOLOGYHAVE THE POWER TO
DELIVER SUCH DIVIDENDS
NXE1, 64 kbps - 34 Mbps Digital Radio Link. The bold look of a new time.
The true nature of any great endeavor can only be mea-sured by the visionaries who have achieved it and those who yearn for its promise.
Mount Everest, 8,848m, Highest Peak on Earth.
The NXE1 Digital Radio Link...
The Moseley NXE1 is the world’s first spectrum-scalable point-to-point digital radio that can deliver 2048 kbits of data in as little as 400 kHz of channel bandwidth.
Advanced modulation and digital processing techniques allow one radio to deliver user-defined rates from 64 kbps to 34 Mbps in user-selectable band-widths of 25 kHz to 7 MHz.
Bui l t - in Network Management and complete diagnostics minimize installation and maintenance costs.
Spectrum Scalability
The NXE1 is the only digital radio of its kind that allows the user to scale its
occupied spectrum according to the operational data rate.
This ability offers operators full network design f lexibility and optimal use of limited frequencies.
Programmable Spectral Efficiency
The NXE1 can be configured for 1.6, 3.2, 4, and 5 bps/Hz, 4 QAM, 16 QAM, 32 QAM, and 64 QAM. This allows operators to trade spectral efficiency for system gain.
Unparalleled Robustness
To overcome industrial and other man-made impulse noise as well as other burst-mode interferences, powerful Reed-Solomon Forward Error Correction is available. Unfaded BER performance in excess of 10
-12 offers unparalleled error-free performance. A programmable interleaver further enhances error concealment. In addition, an adaptive equalizer overcomes multipath and other channel impairment.
Intelligent Network Management
Extensive NMS features are available for the NXE1. Real-time on-line and of f - l ine control along with analog and digital loopback are possible at both the local and remote terminals. Event and alarm history can be reported over dial-up circuits, the front panel, or the NMS host. FE PROMs permit remote configuration.

The NXE1 sets a whole n ew s t anda rd f o r operational simplicity and network management. A full-function integrated front panel is standard with each unit, as well as Windows®-based NXE1-Setup© software for PC access /configu-ration.
Each unit is SNMP ready and has built-in support for Web Browser access.
In addition, the NXE1 can be managed easily us ing the Mose le y MasterController© network management system.
Network Management...
The built-in configuration, status, and control screens allow adjustment of setup parameters right on the unit itself... even in poorly lighted environments. All parameters including fault/alarm logs are accessible from the front panel.
Intelligently designed for ease of use, the NXE1’s menu-oriented programmability makes it simple to understand and easy to configure, monitor, and control.
The front panel shows data from the remote unit(s) as well.
Integrated Front Panel
The NXE1 supports SNMP, enabling choice from a multitude of currently available options for network management software. Support is provided for Fault, Configuration, Performance (G.821/G.826), and Security Management. The MIBs supported include the MIB-II, and Moseley custom-enterprise MIB. SNMP versions 1 and 2 are supported with the UDP and IP protocols.
Data link drivers/interfaces include PPP, SLIP, and Ethernet. For multi-site use, optional IP Router functions are available and built into the radio’s embedded processor and SNMP agent.
SNMP Capability
The NXE1 comes with its own Windows-based setup software to configure, monitor, and control the NXE1 from a PC or Laptop. Once a configuration has been chosen, multiple NXE1s can be cloned.
Remote Calibration and System Setup
Unparalleled Selectability
NXE1-Setup©
Support is also provided for additional diagnos-tics as well as for constel-lation monitoring.
Selecting configuration options is made easier with the application’s extensive use of drop-down choice boxes, category tabs, and other
common Windows-based graphical interface tools.
The NXE1 can be accessed through the Internet. By pointing a Web Browser to the IP Address of the NXE1 to be monitored, secure, password protected access to all radios in the network is attainable.
