Company History (Reference)1946 Arthur and John Donovan (brothers) founded Paramount Gear Limited in Toronto.

1952 The Donovan brothers joined with Jack Lee to set up Paramount Gasket Ltd. In 1961, the Donovan brothers sold Paramount Gear but were retained by the new owner to manage the business

1965 The Donovan Brothers went back into business with the formation of General Gear Ltd. and the following year they added General Deep Hole Boring and Turning Ltd.

1968 Donlee Manufacturing Industries Ltd. was established through the amalgamation of Paramount Gasket, General Gear and General Deep Hole Boring and Turning. The last named became Donlee Nuclear to reflect its involvement in nuclear reactor components but was again changed (in 1983) to Donlee Precision Division as the emphasis shifted from Nuclear to Military, Aircraft and Commercial Products.

1969 Donlee acquired Automotive Industries Inc. in the U.S.A. and an Ontario plastics company which became Donlee Plastics.

1977 A management group, headed by the Donovan Brothers, bought up all outstanding shares and the company became a closely held Private Organization

1980 Four senior members of the Company's Management group acquired the Donovan Brothers interests and each held 25% ownership.

1985 Redpath Industries Ltd. acquired all the shares of Donlee Manufacturing Industries· Ltd. The previous shareholders were committed to remain in their management positions for 3 years. Redpath was at the time 51% owned by Tate and Lyle in the United Kingdom.

1983 Name Changed to Donlee Precision and General Gear remained same.

1990 General Donlee Limited was created to acquire Donlee Precision and General Gear from Redpath Sugar. Diversification into Aerospace started to ramp up

1993 In 1993, All shares purchased by the employees

2002 In 2002, Process began of going public as an Income Trust (General Donlee Canada Inc.)

2013 In 2013, It was purchased by Triumph Group (Berwyn PA). And branded Triumph Gear Systems - Toronto

2019 In 2019, Purchased by Stony Point Investments (NWI Holdings) and re-branded NWI Precision
