I learned a lot about the waythat French firms are organized. Many of them have emphasizedon decentralization and how thisbreeds creativity. I remembergoing to Group Danone, LVMH,and Pernod Ricard all FMCGs and they have very similarvalues. I realized that in France, they believe that technical skillsare important, but they lookat people with passion and thewillingness to learn to be morefavorable than academically

smart people who are too callousto learn new things.

The China trip was a great eyeopener for me. We learnt quitea few things by meeting with thecompanies in China like howCoca-Colas biggest segment isfruit juice and the flagship brandCoke is nowhere in competitionor how guanxi works forAnsaldo when it deals with thegovernment. We had heardabout China from our Chineseclassmates and read about it invarious modules but experiencingChina first-hand, was a

    NUS MBA?

After five years of formativeprofessional development withDeloitte Consulting, I felt it was theright time for me to take the nextstep in my career, and I knew thatan MBA was the best way to achievemy objectives.

When it comes to pursuing an MBA,most will opt for the United States orEurope. However, with my ambitionto become a global business leader,I couldnt simply ignore the rapidlygrowing importance of Asia in

the global economy. An in-depthunderstanding of the historical, social, political and economic factors thathave driven the re-emergence of Asiais essential knowledge for the leadersof tomorrow.

In this context, I decided to pursue myMBA in Asia and immerse myself in a

truly Asian environment. The NationalUniversity of Singapore appeared tobe the best partner in the region tohelp achieve my goals: it is a world-class university with 100 years ofhistory and its MBA program offersdeep Asian insights; not to mentionall the advantages and excellent livingstandards offered by Singapore.
