Real-World Strategies for Global Business2010 marks the 28th year of the Stanford-NUS Executive Programin International Management conducted in Singapore. Thisprogram presents a unique opportunity to immerse in the vibrantcultures of two of the world's most respected institutions; onerenowned for its iconoclastic approach to critical thinking andchallenging assumptions, and another for its uncompromisinglyhigh standards and academic rigor.

Held annually in Singapore for 28 years now, close to 2,000executives have participated and sharpened their perspectivesthrough this intensive program that has been for many, afoundation for assuming greater leadership roles.

These two weeks of highly intensive sessions are designedto augment participants' expertise with current insights and agreater depth of knowledge. Its aim is to hone analytical andbehavioral skills essential for attaining a competitive edge inglobal and Asian business, and because of its international cohort,it also facilitates an invaluable worldwide network of peers acrossvarious industries.

Stanford Graduate School of BusinessSince the Stanford Business School began its first ExecutiveEducation program in 1952, more than 30,000 students havegraduated from its executive programs. Recognized as one ofthe leading schools of management in the world, the facultyresearches and works with leading companies around the globeto establish innovative leading-edge management practices.

CurriculumThe program consists of about 50 lectures and classdiscussions, interspersed with group-study sessions inwhich participants and their teammates will analyze anddiscuss case studies and other materials in preparationfor classes.

Course materials range from case studies in marketingand business strategy, to the latest research by facultyfrom the two distinguished business schools.

Company visits and talks by prominent industry speakersand business leaders will be planned on some evenings.

Dr Flynn's research investigates issues of employee cooperation, diversity in work groups, and leadership in organizations. His scholarly articles have appeared in more than a dozen publications that span the fields of management and socialpsychology. Dr Sorensen won (with Toby E. Stuart) the 2006 Administrative ScienceQuarterly Award for Scholarly Contribution for the article "Aging, Obsolescence and the Organizational Innovation (ASQ, 2000)." Healso won the 2006 Teacher of the Year Award from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He has served as both Associate and ConsultingEditor for the American Journal of Sociology, is on the Editorial Board of Administrative Science Quarterly, and is a Senior Editor ofOrganization Science.
