OJO: Ordinal numbers are placed before nouns and agree (in number and gender) with the nouns:

•El quinto año The fifth year

•La segunda mañana The second morning

•Son las primeras visitas. They are the first visitors.

NOTE: Primero and tercero drop the “o” before a masculine singular noun:

El primer día.

El tercer premio.
