Nuclear Energy Advantages

• Since the earth has limited supply of coal and oil, Nuclear power plants can still produce energy when oil and coal become scarce

• Nuclear Power Plants use less fuel than the plants that burn fossil fuels

• Nuclear Power Plants do not release contaminants into the environment

Nuclear Energy Disadvantages• If a Nuclear explosion occurs, the radiation is very

harmful to the body• Nuclear reactors produce nuclear waste products

which produce dangerous radiation• Nuclear reactors only last from forty to fifty years

Can This Prevent Global Warming?

• Nuclear Energy is not the most efficient way of preventing global warming because it doesn’t do anything to increase the amount of C02 going into the atmosphere but it doesn’t do anything to stop it.
