Why?
• It has been shown that Quality Reviews,
when done correctly, greatly improve the
rate of accuracy at a given site, especially
when used with the Interview/Intake Sheet
NTTC Training 2009
Why Else?
Because it is required by both IRS and AARP Tax-Aide
NTTC Training 2009
Why not use the Tax-Wise Main Information Sheet
• It is not designed to capture the
information needed for a good Quality
Review – maybe it will in the future
NTTC Training 2009
Using the correct Quality Review Form
AARP Tax-Aide officially uses the IRS Quality Review Sheet – now combined with the Intake/Interview Sheet to form the new for 1009:
Intake/Interview & Quality Review Sheet
(13614-C)

For E-Filing
• Check C-EZ to be sure expenses are less than $5000
• Check Dividend and Interest Worksheets for red blocks
• Check the Tree for red marks
NTTC Training 2009
For Paper Returns
Check for
• W-2’s and 1099’s attached to form
• Site Identification Number (SIDN)
NTTC Training 2009
For All Returns

NTTC Training 2009
For Closure
• Leave the client with a smile and an
indication of when e-filing will take place
• Ask if there are any questions that have not been answered
• Give the client appropriate paperwork, Interview and Intake Sheet.

Closing
• Are there any questions?
• Remember Ronald Reagan's statement:
• TRUST, BUT VERIFY!
