B each Ball —Exploring the Double Wide Dresden Ruler Join Pam in this hands on technique class. You will have time to finish at least one block , maybe even more! You will also learn machine appliqué with invisible thread. While the sample is a table runner, you can make any size quilt using these 12 inch blocks. Pick a bright, fun, jelly roll and a coordinating fabric to make your beach balls. We will also explore some of the other block options that are possible with the Double Wide Dresden Ruler. Disappearing Nine Patch...A New Approach Learn a new skill for the New Year. In this class you will learn how to use the construction method of a disappearing nine patch block to create a one of a kind quilt project. You will also learn just how versatile the block really is. Color Falls—A Strip Quilt If you have ever wanted to make a Bargello quilt come make a strip quilt from some of the lovely 2 1/2” strips that are available. Ellen will show you how to make the quilt top using the basic tools. You will be surprised at how wonderful the top looks with the cutting techniques used. Flower Boxes Quilt Runner This striking table runner uses batiks in light, medium and dark shades of your favorite colors to create unique flower boxes. The flowers are fused and then blanket stitched to create greater depth in the pattern. Little Bits of Love This contemporary runner will add Valentine color to your home. The hearts are freeform and modern which the colors are very traditional. This is your chance to learn to use fusible web to make a quick and easy design. Blanket stitch was used to outline the hearts. You will also learn the basics of how to layer and quilt a runner. Binding 101 This hands on class will teach you how to put on traditional binding and how to join the two ends so they can’t tell where you started and stopped. We’ll also learn wrap-from-the-back mitered corner bindings. These are great for quick, easy children’s quilts or charity quilts. We’ll even tackle those scary scalloped edged bindings using bias binding! You’ll learn a quick easy way to make bias binding with the bias binding rulers. Un-Boxing Your Scan N’ Cut Let’s get that Scan N’ Cut out of the box and explore some of the fun things we can do with it! In this class we will use the draw function to create our own fabric, use the cut function to cut fabric for appliqué and to create a template for the placement of crystals. This machine is so fun and versatile and this class will get your feet wet in exploring the possibilities of this fabulous machine! Transforming Artwork with Craft N’ Cut Software! Have you wanted to learn to use your Craft N’ Cut software to transform artwork to cut files? Well, this is the class for you! We will use the software to create our file for our Scan N’ Cut. We will then actually cut our vinyl on our Scan N’ Cut and apply the vinyl to a reusable acrylic tumbler! This is a great class if you have ever thought of taking a step towards using your software and Scan N’Cut to create something that you can sell or make great custom gifts! Intro to Westalee Rulers Come join Bonnie in this Lecture/Demo class as she shows you the new and easy way to do Free Motion Quilting using Rulers. This class will feature Clam Shell, Flowers, Circles just to name a few. If you purchase the rulers kit, your $10 class fee will be applied towards that! Creative Free Motion Quilting This is a beginner FMQ class updated to include more content. You will learn multiple designs, but also how to change them to suit your needs. Thread, batting, needles, troubleshooting and the big question “how do I quilt this” will be addressed. You will be a creative FMQ designer by the end of class!
