RMT SERVICE CONTOL 21st November 2014

Night TubeManagement have explained they wish to start running night

tubes. The proposal is simple. They wish to run in varying degrees

of service during what would normally be engineering hours on the

Central, Jubilee, Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria Lines.

We have raised a number of concerns but the biggest issue we have

is the Professional Service Control Agreement !PSCA"does not

    allow this. It says:

A.4.1 Please see detailed below, arrangements for major special

events where it is necessary to operate the railway for customers

throughout the night. It is not envisaged that this would normally

    exceed thee events per annum.

    HSCC

    In our last newsletter we

    explained about the latest

    developments at

    Hammersmith and the SSR

    upgrade. Since then we have

    seen emails claiming the

Piccadilly line is going to South

    Kensington. So far nothing has

    been confirmed. As soon as

    the contracts are finalised we

    should be given information

    about the SSR upgrade.

    Earls Court

We have been told there is a

plan to introduce a new desk

to help with the WARS input.

So far it is in the infant stages

but it is believed an extra

    position may be created to

    facilitate this.

    Waterloo and City

The Waterloo and city has nowbecome the longest dispute

the RMT have with LUL. Staff

    are being balloted for

    industrial action over the extra

work expected of them with no

    chance of remuneration.

Look out for a special W&C

    Strike Newsletter in December.

We believe this means management cannot implement it without

our agreement. The PSCA was written with no all night working in

mind, however as times have moved on management are trying to

impose it upon us by claiming these do not count as special

circumstances. We do not agree and will not accept such severe

    changes without a fight.

If you or your local roster champions have been asked about the

rosters, PLEASE DO NOT PARTICIPATE. Until we are able

to reach an agreement on the PSCA we cannot allow Night Tube

to be snuck in the back door.

Medical Consent FormsOften when returning from long term sickness people are asked to

fill in a medical consent form. Some of these give management

permanent access to medical records and are not time restricted.

    ALWAYS CONSULT A REP

You do not have to sign these. And once you have signed them it

gives management carte blanche to get access to all of your medicalrecords.

On top of that, although you are entitled to see what they have

been given, the responsibility falls upon you to find out through

    your GP.
