SPIRITUAL DIRECTION IS AVAILABLE - Spiritual direction encourages you to explore a closer relationship with God. In spiritual direction, you reflect deeply on the experiences of your daily life in order to recognize God's presence and grace in your life. Spiritual direction is really not about being "directed." Rather, it is about being helped to explore or discern the direction in which God is leading you. If you are interested in Spiritual Direction, please call the church office for more information - (254) 754-1221.

THE MISSION WACO CARING CUP trophy has come home to Saint Louis Church. Our church accumulated enough points to win by participating and/or contributing through sponsorships to the golf tournament held in October. We won the trophy three years from 1997-1999 but Highland Baptist, Meadowbrook Baptist and First United Methodist have bested us since then. Thanks to all who helped make this happen and support the worthy causes of Mission Waco.

ST. JOSEPH’S PARISH IN BELLMEAD will sponsor a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec 5th. They are looking for vendors to sell their handmade items. For additional details or booth rentals please contact Travis Collier at 254-716-4488 or at [email protected] THE GABRIEL PROJECT is a parish-based ministry that seeks to provide emotional, material and spiritual support for pregnant women and families in need. We seek to plant the seed of God's love within the hearts of women and men who feel overwhelmed, lost, alone and afraid - whether rich or poor, single, married, young or older. We are trying to determine the interest level in our parish and are currently seeking individuals interested in becoming Gabriel Angels and other supporting volunteers. If you feel called to this ministry, please contact Cindy Farmer at [email protected] or 254-644-1129.

Quick Questions What do the abbreviations INRI and SPQR stand for? "INRI" is an abbreviation for the Latin "Iesus Nazarenus, Rex Iudaeorum" ("Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews"), posted on the cross by order of the Roman procurator, Pontius Pilate. "SPQR" stands for "Senatus Populus Que Romanus" ("The Roman Senate and People"), designating the civil authority that presided over the scene. Answered by: Catholic Answers Staff
