STEWARDSHIP FROM THIS WEEKS GOSPELIn today’s gospel, we hear the humble
confession of the good thief, a confession that brought him mercy, forgiveness and favor by the Lord.
What can his humility teach those who seek to live humble lives, like St. Clare
or St. Francis of Assisi?
Matthew 22:37-40: “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. The second resembles it; love
your neighbor as yourself.”

STEWARDSHIP FROM THIS WEEKS GOSPEL
By recognizing that God is the center of the universe, not us, and that only
Christ the King can bring us genuine peace and salvation, we can follow St. Francis and St. Clare on the path to life eternal, with Jesus, our Lord and King.
Galatians 3:28: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free person, there is
not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

STEWARDSHIP THOUGHT
1. Each day, say a prayer for one of the world’s trouble spots.
2. Turn off the TV, phone, and computer, and spend an hour devoted to someone you love.
3. Surprise an old friend with a phone call or a visit.
