Congratulations to Waza V50 in winning a Silver Medal in the Singles Bowls tournament at The State Disability Championships held in Brisbane.
On Market Day Saturday 1st Sept. The Residents raised a total of $1394, with the Sausage sizzle raising $850 and the cake stalls raising $544. The money raised was for the drought angels. Well done.
16th Oct. at 9.30 am in the Theatre room, there is a Travel Expo and morning tea. There are three travel representatives. There is a $600 lucky door prize plus a $1,000 lucky prize for those already booked a holiday. To be eligible you must register by 10th Oct. Register sheet at Sea Breeze Clubhouse.

Please drive carefully and avoid those stormwater grates in the roads as you drive around the resort, some are very noisy when your car wheels run over them, especially at night and very annoying to the nearby residents.

Congratulations to Cheryl Taylor V291 won the raffle of $1,000 travel voucher, being a Flight Centre customer. Lyn Cooper V136 won the lucky draw prize of $600 just for attending the Travel Expo held by Flight Centre Bundaberg.
Residents General Meeting to be held in the Sea Breeze on Monday 12th November. 10 am., to accept new Constitution, also report re PLR Rent offer.
On Sunday the 14th. of October the RedClaw Bowls Club held the battle of the year with the Men versus the ladies match. With both greens full the competition was fierce but unfortunately for the ladies the men were too good on the day. Hopefully the match will become a regular event and the ladies will be back next year looking to reverse the outcome. Prizes were given out to ladies and men who got touchers with Irene, Laurie, Enis and Eric winners. Prizes also went to the highest winning score achieved by the men being Frank, Garry and John while the ladies were Linda, Jenny and Jane. Thanks go to all involved in the running of the event and making the day such a success.

The next sponsor day to be held are on Sunday 18th of November, sponsor is Affordable Screens and Blinds. Entry fee for Sponsor Days is $6.00 for players and $4.00 for non players, these costs are to cover the BBQ and players $10 money draws. On Tuesday 20th October there is a game against East Bundaberg Bowls at East Bundaberg Sports Club. There is a $8 green fee.
The players name sheets will be at the Bowls Desk in the Ocean Breeze Clubhouse, at the appropriate days.

The bar is open every Wednesday 3:30pm to 5:30pm, Friday 3:30 to 7:pm, Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 3:30pm to 7:00pm (at managers discretion)
Every Saturday evening there is a lucky Villa Draw, starting at $50.00 and if not won the prize jackpots by $10.00. The Villa number is drawn between 4:00 pm and 6:00pm. Winner must be present and have one minute to claim the prize.

Housekeeping Issues
Now that we are entering the busy Christmas party season please ensure the following:
If you use any of the community BBQ’s that you keep these exceptionally clean ready for the
next function (We will not be cleaning these) Check 3/4 days prior that they have enough gas
in the bottles if not let us know so we have time to get them filled.
Complete a facility use booking form (Some outside the resident’s Office, once approved
the function is good to go. Please all be respectfully of booked functions along with respect for
non-invited residents entering your function area.
Reminder after 3.30pm Mon – Friday & weekends we are contactable for emergencies
only on 4331 0300 or internally 7000, leave a message including your number, if it is deemed an
emergency we will return your call, no message no return call.
If you would like to contact us on a non-emergency matter please feel free to make an
appointment, ring between 9-11am Mon – Fri or email us [email protected].
Parking – If you are a resident you are reminded not to park in visitors parking slots as per the
community rules.
Final issue, all residents are reminded that it is not okay to be disrespectful to other residents,
staff or visitors.

The Redclaw Bowls Club held a sponsors day on Sunday the 28th. of Oct. which was sponsored by Searles R V Centre Bundaberg. As usual the day was well supported by the Palm Lake bowlers. The Winning prize winners were Irene, Roy, Peter, Andy, Mick and Joy while runners up were Frank, Evelyn, Baden, Ray and Paul. (Sincere apology to Irene for cutting her out of photo.) Also Teresa and Lyndsay were presented with a gift by President Garry for their hard work over the years as caterers. Well done to you both.

DRAWING CLASSES.Always wanted to draw? Now is your chance. Bill Bonner, teacher and artist, will be instructing Palm Lake residents on how to draw right from the very beginning. Bill visits every second Tuesday of the month from 2.00pm to 3.30pm. His next visit is on 13th November. SAFETY INITIATIVESAs a safety measure the Residents Association requests that all homeowners undertake a regular Fire Alarm and Duress Alarm testing Regime.To allay any concerns with neighbours the Association proposes that testing be carried out at Quarterly intervals at 10.AM. on the Following Days.
1st December, 1st March, 1st September.
Residents who are unable to conduct the tests should contact the Association or another member for assistance.

Hey you blokes, if you have nothing to do and want to have some fun and good company, come and join some of us on Monday afternoon. From 1.30pm we roll up a few ends of bowls for about an hour then we have a cup of coffee then adjourn to the Pool Room in the Ocean Breeze Clubhouse where we play pool for about an hour or so.Ladies and Men come and join the new learn to
dance classes, soft shoe shuffle, on Tuesday afternoon at 2pm in the Sea Breeze clubhouse. No special requirements.You just need comfortable shoes preferably flat soles.
