PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Hello Everyone: Another milestone has been met with the 2017 product exhibition and Symposiums. I want to send a special thank you to the commit-
tee that performed seamlessly to pro-vide the members and Affiliates a great day, thanks to Ernie Rink, Steve Ziga, Don Nowicke and Mike Snyder. We also would like to thank Jeff Cro-zier, Mike Radio and Sean Hughes of ASHRAE for participating in our Sym-posium. We have always recognized other Professional Societies here in Philadelphia and finding that common ground to develop and enhance our member’s education is a great motiva-tor. We hope their members also en-joyed walking the show floor and found it worth their valuable time in coming out to the Clarion and attending their own Symposium with 4 great topics. Another person by the name of Marc Pisarek needs recognition for his ef-forts to set up the on-line registration for the show and Seminars. Steve Ziga took on the challenge this year to provide 4 very interesting topics
and excellent speakers. I was thrilled to see the classroom full of knowledge seeking Engineers and designers. I have taken many notes on the day of the show and will review with the com-mittee some improvements that I think will be implemented in 2019. This will ensure the timing of registered guest walking the show floor. We also sent a note to all the manufac-turer’s reps asking for comments. Thank you for all the positive feedback and suggestions. We will implement many of your thoughts into the next show as well. In closing I invite our members to join us at our meetings and feel the passion that we have in providing you all the best information, education and friend-ship possible. Best regards Mike

TECHNICAL CORNER
How many of you attended the Product Show? The show had a wealth of
knowledge at your disposal. Where else can you to ask questions and
compare products? If you missed the show, you also missed a chance to
win one of the door prizes.
There were eight seminars available, four from ASPE and four from ASHRAE.
I attended the four ASPE seminars and found each seminar well attended.
I was informed the ASHRAE seminars were also well attended.
At the November 16th dinner meeting, we will hear about Leak Detection
and Sub-metering from Dennis Carapezza from H2O Degree. The dinner
meeting will be at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Cherry Hill, NJ.
I look forward to seeing you there and do not forget to bring any issues from a project that
you need or want a second opinion. The dinner meeting will have many designers, engi-
neers, and representatives available to assist.
News flash, the June 7 tour will be to ThermOmegaTech’s facility in Warminster, PA.

MEMBERSHIP NEWS Hi. My how busy September and October have been. They flew by for me. How about
you? They came and went so fast, I decided I needed to take a moment to take inventory
and order. Take stock of what I have done, what I am doing, and what should be done in
the future.
I looked at where my time has been spent, and if it was of value to those I love, serve, and
myself. It felt good. I am excited and relieved to see that there is a bright future awaiting
me.
I have found that most of my friends in the local engineering community are flourishing as
well. It has been and continues to be a very productive time for all of us. 2018 looks to be a
banner year locally as well. During all this hustle and bustle, I ask that you take a moment
for yourself. Reflect on what you have done, what you are doing, and what should be
done in the future. Be the best possible version of you for everyone in your life.
Plumbing Engineer is looking for the Engineer of the Year. The December issue of Plumbing Engineer will high-
light an engineer or firm that has gone above and beyond to meet challenges, whether on a project or by
forward-thinking in business. Click here for more information on how to submit a nomination.
Please give a warm welcome to our newest member George Wells P.E., G.E.
See you at our November 16th meeting @ Maggiano’s of Cherry Hill
