As we enter fall and winter, this time of year brings the potential frost delays. A frost delay will occur when frost forms on
the turf canopy (putting surfaces) and temperatures are near or at freezing. Turf can sustain injury simply by walking
across frosted areas. When this occurs, it can be several months before the injured area will recover or begin repair.
During this time of year, no course setup will be completed until the frost has melted on the turf canopy. Once the

conditions are safe for the putting surfaces and other areas of the golf course to begin maintenance the team will expedite
course set up and release play. As mentioned in the previous newsletter we are also in fallen leaf season. Fallen leaf cleanup
can be a slow process. The maintenance team is working daily to complete leaf cleanup. Improvements have been made to
the right sides of #12 & #13. These areas have been roped off and should be played as ground under repair. Just as it takes
several months to recover from frost injury cart traffic damage on dormant bermuda can take even longer. This winter we
will be focusing on cart traffic and installing ropes and directional signage in high traffic areas. Handicap flags should use
good judgement when entering certain areas. It is always best to park either in front or back of a green and never beside
one. There may be some situations where you may need to take a drop or skip hole depending on ropes and ground under
repair. I would like to thank everyone for the positive comments and encourage everyone to fill out comment cards.

The time change is officially upon us and the daylight hours are short. I hope you get out to play in
November and December before the hardest part of the winter hits after the new year! We have begun our
social events back up for the winter months and currently have Bingo, Poker Night and an After Dark
night for you to participate in during November. In addition to these social events we still have our Couples

MGA Skins Gamenight for you to participate in during November. In addition to these social events we still have our Couples
Member-Guest and Tournament of Champions scheduled during this month. Be sure to get in to the
events while there is still time!
We are currently planning our 2016 events schedule and will have the dates set before the end of the
month. Once the dates are set for 2016 we will again check the football schedules when they become
available to help ensure we do not have any major events conflicting with local football schedules.
If you haven’t yet, be sure to stop by the club and prepay for 2016. This prepayment will lock in your dues
rate for all of 2016 and will save you money. Once you prepay for the dues you can then prepay for services
like the range plan and cart plan and save the same percent off those fees. We will be running a buy 10 get
4 free cart fee program at the end of this month. This will be the ONLY time we will run this special until
November 2016. Stock up on cart fees while you can!
Lastly, like most clubs do, we will again be putting out our employee holiday fund. This is a great way for
you to show the staff your appreciation for all their hard work throughout the year. We will have a box and
name form to fill out so we can be sure to give you credit for your donation. Any donation is very much
appreciated!

Now that we will be changing the clocks, the member golf events will be slowing down but that doesn’t
mean your time at Wildwood Green does as well. We have many different social events coming up during the Fall and
Winter months. Stay up to date by looking at the event calendars, reading the weekly e-blasts, checking out the signage
around the golf shop and snack bar. I look forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming Bingo Nights, Holiday Parties

increase the participation even more from 2014 and fill up Bogey’s Grill and the golf shop with tables for these events.
I want to thank all the members who kept up with my coaching experience for the Cardinal Gibbons
women’s golf team. I enjoyed coming to the course and sharing all the wonderful news about the team with you all. It
was a great experience and I couldn’t have asked for a better first year of coaching. They were a very talented group of
girls which they eventually showed off by winning the 2015 4A High School State Championship! I am looking forward
to another great year with them.

will start to add “After Dark” dinners, pasta nights, and cooking classes.
Our new stove/oven has arrived! If you have not seen it, come take a look! It certainly helps with larger groups
and will certainly be an asset moving forward. Our meat slicer will be here any day now…
Our Thirsty 3rd Thursday was a huge success last month! The baked oysters, homemade chili, and the
pumpkin pie were delicious! We also kicked off the “Birdies and Bottles Wine Club” that night! Over 34 bottles of wine

C) If a ball in play and at rest is moved by another ball in motion, the moved ball must be replaced.
And there is no penalty.
