Luncheon Features SSM St. Clare Health Center’s CyberKnife
The November Membership Luncheon sponsored by SSM St. Clare Health Center featured Dr. John Bedwinek, Radiation On-cologist at SSM Cancer Care. He spoke about the newest cut-ting-edge technology in cancer care and treatment to come to the St. Louis area and, better yet, right here in the Fenton community at SSM St. Clare Health Center: CyberKnife. This revolutionary technology “treats cancerous and benign tu-mors with high-dose, highly accurate beams of radiation while minimizing the damage to healthy tissue.” This form of treat-ment is so innovative in fact that it is the world‟s only robotic radiosurgery system. What an incredible addition to SSM St. Clare and the Fenton community as a whole.

November has always been an exciting month for me personally. I see the month as a blend of family activities on the personal level and the development of a business plan on the professional level. Constructing a 2013 business plan can be critical for your success both personally and professionally. As many of us complete our next year‟s budget planning process, your very own Fenton Chamber is no different. Your elected Fenton Chamber Board Members have met to complete a budget and strategic plan for the 2013 year. We have taken the comments that many of you shared which has helped us to formulate the 2013 strategic plan. We will be placing a greater emphasis on the FACC‟s Chamber Nation software that is available to every member. The power that lies within this specific Chamber-oriented software is still an untapped resource for many of our Chamber members. The simplicity and utility of creating your own Chamber Nation landing page is more than worth the price of your membership. One phone call to the tech support hotline at Chamber Nation will give you the ability to have a personal representative to guide you through the entire site development process. In addition, your Fenton Chamber is going to work diligently to add as much value as possible to all levels of our membership. Check our website calendar, e-newsletters and the monthly Fenton Focus newsletters for new activities and events. As I close, I would encourage each of to review your very own 2013 Business Plan. What new strategic initiatives will you be implementing in 2013? What role will your Fenton Chamber Membership and Chamber Nation play in the growth of your business? Will you maximize your Chamber membership in 2013? We strongly urge you to do so! My Best Wishes To You & Your Family This Thanksgiving, Dale E. Roethemeyer President—Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce Financial Advisor—Edward Jones

Our Condolences… The Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce would like to send our most sincere condolences to the family and friends of the late Patrick James (Jim) Murphy who passed away on Thursday, October 11th at Delmar Gardens of Meramec Valley. He represented Missouri‟s legislature in St. Louis for 20 years and was known for fearlessly speaking his mind. Jim was also one of the proudest supporters of and biggest advocates for the Fenton Chamber. He will truly be missed at Fenton Chamber functions where he always greeted everyone with a smile and a true devotion to the St. Louis community.
