Why are nouns important?Who would know what you were talking about if you weren’t able to use words that mean people, places, things, and ideas?

For Example:

For that thing that happens on a certain time, I dressed like that thing that has white stuff on top of the top, and I wore a thing that covered the thing in front near the top. I scared a lot of things walking around that certain time, and I thought it was funny. I visited ten things that looked like four lines connected, and things opened the thing that stood between that thing and me. That thing that talked gave me things to put in the thing I was carrying, and I went to the thing I sleep at and ate all the things in the thing I carried.

What I meant to say was-

For Halloween, I dressed like an old man with white hair, and I wore a mask. I scared a lot kids walking around on Halloween, and I thought it was funny. I visited ten houses, and doors opened each time. People put candy in my bag, and I went home and ate all the candy.

Nouns are important because they identify people, places, things, and ideas.

Common nouns are just that- common. They do not name anything or anyone specifically.

Proper nouns DO name specific people, places, and things.
