THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
“Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depth of our hearts.”
- Mother Teresa
DearParentsandStaff
Aswecome to theendof the thirdweekof Lent Iwould like tobuildupon thethemeofreconciliaGonandforgivenessthatIwroteaboutlastweek.ForgivenessdoesnotcomewithanystringsaLached. It can’tgopartof theway.Tobe trulyauthenGcitmustbecompleteandabsolute.ThereareGmeswhenforgiveness isdifficult and our pain and lack of trust colour our ability to give others anotherchance. The answer that Jesus gave to Peter when he asked about forgivenessshouldactasaguideforallofus.
‘Lord,howo*enmustIforgivemybrotherifhewrongsme?Aso*enasseven;mes?’Jesusanswered,‘NotsevenItellyou,butseventy–seven;mes.’
