Exploring- Students often chose UST because they are exploring several majors and need time to decide between them. Enhancing- Some students come to UST to enhance the skills they began learning in high school in order to meet foundational requirements for specific majors. Examining- Many students come to UST simply because they are completely unsure of what they want to do or what major might be a good choice for them. These students start off examining themselves, the communities in which they participate, and the larger world around them and usually move toward a major within the first two years.
