Profile of Gaurav Garg

JGarg Economic Advisors Private Limited (‘JGarg’) is an Indian company, which is set up to provide management consulting services in field of taxation, valuation, outsourcing and consulting.

JGarg is started by Gaurav Garg, member of Institute of Chartered Accountant of India and a graduate from Delhi University.

In addition to the in-house capacity available with JGarg, JGarg is also networked with various national and international professional service organizations to provide end to end services to its clients.

April 2001 - Finance Act, 2001 introduced detailed Transfer Pricing Regulation (Section 92 and 92A to 92F)

August 2001 - Rule 10A to 10E notified and Circular No. 12 issued Dec-01 Circular No.14 issued explanatory notes on the provisions in the Finance Act, 2001

April 2002 - Guidance Note issued by ICAI May 2003 - Internal guidance issued for TP Assessments April 2007 - Finance Act, 2007 made the amendment in

the law i.e. TPO's Order is binding on AO and extension of time for transfer pricing assessment

February 2008 – Revised Guidance Note issued by ICAI Four years of Transfer Pricing Audit

Professional Background

Qualified in May 2004 from Institute of Chartered Accountant of India and holding Bachelor Degree in Commerce from Delhi University, Gaurav is having 5 years of full time experience in transfer pricing and international tax.

Previous experience includes 3 years with Deloitte Haskins & Sells, New Delhi and 2 years with RSM & Co. (merged with PwC in April 2007), New Delhi.

During his previous employment, Gaurav has successfully managed over 100 transfer pricing projects including representation before Indian revenue authorities, transfer pricing planning, DDR etc.
