This tour will give you some insights on Norwegian wildlife, living and local history. Head off from the pier in coaches and drive inlands towards the forest farm Landås near Evje. Experience the challenge and joy of real off-road hiking through picturesque and beautiful Norwegian woodland 400 meters above sea level. As you venture through the forest look for signs of the rich local animal life, like elk, deer, beaver, grouse or fox. The goal and the price is when you arrive at the unique “Arnestedet” wildlife campsite built adjacent a 30 meters long and 110 years old feldspar quarry tunnel. Here you will be served freshly home made bread baked in a stone oven, locally made cheese and herb butter together with a selection of cold cuts. Enjoy a cup of coffee before starting the walk back towards the farm house at Landås. Arriving in Landås you are welcome to visit the farm house (originally built around 1840), the home of a young family of four, to see and hear why they have settled down on an old farmland dated back to 800 A.D. then its time to hop on the bus for the scenic drive back into Kristiansand and to your ship.
