No one should want to live a life of uncertainty that is based on myth, falsehoods, half-
truths, or legend with no foundation in fact. Luke didn't, and neither did he want that
for his friends. Luke set out to collect evidence about the life, ministry and meaning of
Jesus Christ so sincere seekers of all ages could build their lives on unquestionable
truth. Come join us as we study the Gospel of Luke together.

On January 18 in the Fellowship Hall, the seniors enjoyed a special lunch and a presentation
on Architecture of the San Fernando Valley. Guests were served by the Senior Ministry
Advisory Board. We were pleased to have senior guests from the Reseda and Chatsworth
churches. The guest speaker was a retired LAUSD history instructor and historian who shared
many familiar homes to those who have lived in the Valley for a long time. Good comments
were well received.

Movie Night
On Monday, February 10 at 7 PM in the Kendall Building, Church and Society will screen “The Biggest Little Farm.” It is a 2018 American documentary film and directed by Emmy Award Winning director John Chester. The film profiles the life of Chester and his wife Molly as they acquire and establish themselves on Apricot Lane Farms in Moorpark, California. Through dogged perseverance and embracing the opportunity provided by nature's conflicts, the Chesters unlock and uncover a biodiverse design for living that exists far beyond their farm, its seasons, and our wildest imagination. This documentary is rated PG and has a running time of 92 minutes.

FOOD NEEDED
Our church collects food each month for a UMC food pantry. If you can bring only one can or box a week that would really help others.
Canned fruits, vegetables, and soups are needed. Pastas, cereals, canned tuna or meat are so appreciated. Place it in the wooden cart in the office or
in the narthex the first Sunday of the month.
