NNELIThree Main Components
1. Supports Pre-service teachers with an ESL endorsement & specialized courses for Sheltered Instruction (SI) and STEM, and Academic Language and STEM
2. Provides two three-credit graduate courses in Sheltered Instruction (SI) and STEM, and Academic Language and STEM for licensed practicing ESL-endorsed teachers
3. Provides Paraprofessionals with specialized training in maximizing effectiveness as support staff and in working with English Language Learners

NNELI Grant
National Professional Development grant, funded by the Office of English Language Acquisition of the United States Department of Education.
The grant was funded in May, 2012 and is expected to continue for five years. The total grant award of $1, 935, 167.
Purpose: To improve instruction to English Learners (EL) through professional development for pre-service teachers, classroom teachers, and paraprofessionals.
