What is a Non-Event: �e Non-Event is a unique fundraiser that brings the business community, benefactors and the faith-based community together with individuals to support the Guadalupe Shelter Programs. �ere is no suit or dress to buy or place to drive to. Giving as a response to receiving the invitation is an act of community support.

How to donate: Fill out your response card and return it with your contribution in the provided envelope, or go online to ccdenver.org/guadalupenonevent. 100% of your contribution will go toward helping house, feed and improve the lives of those experiencing homelessness in our community.

Tax Credit: Donations of $100 and above qualify for a state income tax credit of 25%.

As an Iraq war veteran, I’ve found Guadalupe Center to be quite e�cient meeting my needs to get back on my feet. My caseworker had access to many veteran homeless resources through the U.S. Department of Veterans A�airs and Volunteers of America. Together, we found a suitable apartment and everything else I would need to be stable again. �e sta� here is great. �ey are knowledgeable and caring when it comes to the residents. Everyone is treated fairly no matter what their background. I’m glad I came to this place. I never would have thought things could turn around for me so quickly and in such a positive way. �ank you.

My name is Andrew. What the shelter is doing for me is giving myself and my kids a warm and safe place to sleep. A place that's friendly, as well as a place to meet other families that have the same goals and values in life, but also who face similar challenges in life. It's also giving me the opportunity to save money for housing, especially by providing us with daily meals and even sack lunches. Most importantly, aside from keeping a roof over the kids, it’s helping keep our morale up and keeping us happy as a family, so I don't give up. My kids see me not giving up and it gives them hope as well.

My three children and I are so thankful, grateful and appreciative of everyone and everything the Guadalupe Shelter has done for us. Each and every one of the sta� at the shelter has a special place in our hearts. �ere are times when things can get di�cult in life. For them to welcome us as a part of their family with support and love really changed our lives for the better. I will never let my children forget all the hopes, love and dreams you made possible in our lives. Every day and every night we appreciate your patience, graciousness and friendly smiles and hard work. All of you will always hold the special piece in our hearts, and we feel very loved for having all of you in our lives! We thank you so much!!
