No interview for jobs in Central Govt canteensNEW DELHI, Feb 5:

There will only be skill test and no interview for junior-levelposts in central government canteens, the Centre said today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his Independence Dayaddress last year, had stressed on the need for bringing an end tothe practice of holding interviews for Group III and IV jobs wherepersonality assessment is not an absolutely necessary requirement.

He had said it will help curb corruption in recruitment andmake the exercise more objective and transparent.

“Accordingly, it has been decided that holding of interviewsshall be discontinued in all direct recruitment to non-gazetted, non-ministerial Group B and C posts in non-statutory departmentalcanteens located in central government offices.(PTI)
