Our Catering and Conference Centers are the preferred choice for command events, weddings, receptions and conferences. Our menu options are created and designed to fit our customer’s taste, budget and lifestyle. Our catering assistants are trained professionals and able to assist you in planning your special occasion with us.

Our facility and services can be sponsored by active duty, retired military, reservists, Department of Defense employees or a bona fide guest of a military member. Please contact a catering professional to arrange an appointment for a tour of our facilities and assistance in planning your event.

Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads – Norfolk

Retirements, Weddings, Receptions, Birthdays & Anniversaries

Historic Norfolk RoomThe historic Norfolk Room is located on the top floor of the Sewells Point Club House, and is open for your catering and conferencing needs year-round. The facility accommodates 100 people.

Red Ramage RoomThe Red Ramage Room is located on the first floor of the Sewells Point Club House, and is an inviting place to relax and eat. The clubhouse serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.

Drydock ClubThis facility was named for the first original drydock built in the shipyard in 1909. It is decorated in beautiful colors of black, purple and green with gorgeous chandeliers in every banquet room. The Drydock Club is located at the Scott Center Annex complex.

– Dining Room (seats up to 125 people) – Party Room (seats up to 130 people) – Ballroom (seats up to 550 people)

SandbarThis facility has a beautiful view overlooking the downtown Norfolk harbor. The inside of the facility is decorated in tones of blue and gold. Sandbar is located on the Portsmouth Naval Hospital compound.

– Ballroom (seats up to 200 people) – Ballroom One (seats up to 100 people) – Ballroom Two (seats up to 100 people) – Dock’s Inn Bar (seats up to 75 people)

Joint Forces Staff College Catering & Conferencing CenterThe Azalea and Magnolia rooms are centrally located in Norfolk at the join Forces Staff College. Each facility can host a wide array of activities including formal receptions, military events, picnics and social gatherings.

Log Cabin Conference CenterWelcome to Northwest’s famous Log Cabin Conference Center, located in Chesapeake, Virginia on the North Carolina border. We are part of the Navy’s best kept secret. Our beautiful rustic conference center resides in a quiet secluded section of the base surrounded by farm fields and colorful trees. It includes two small conference rooms (seating about six), two large conference rooms (seating about 20) and a small kitchenette area.

Lodging is available at Navy Gateway Inns & Suites or if you prefer to rough it, try our campground. And, if you have some spare time, enjoy a game of bowling, a movie at the “Joint”, internet service at the Cyber Alley or grab some dinner and a dirnk at the Mariner Bar and Grill.

NNSY & NSA HR MWR Outdoor Rentals

1. Mission: MWR Outdoor Rental Centers are operated for the purpose of providing leisure time activities which will effectively contribute to the mental and physical well-being of Naval personnel and their family members.

2. Location: The Portsmouth Outdoor Rental Center is located at Scott Center Annex, Bldg. 5681.

3. Authoized Patrons: Active duty, retirees, reservists and their family members (18 years and older with written consent, in person prior to issue) and DoD civilians.

4. Hours of Operation: Monday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursday & Friday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.

5. Reservations and Issue Procedures:

a. Reservations are made at Scott Center Annex, Bldg. 5681 up to 30 days in advance of the desired date. All reservations must be paid in person and paid in full.

b. Only authorized patrons with a valid identification card may sign for equipment received.

c. All patrons are required to pass a written water safety test in order to rent boating equipment.

d. All items must be picked up prior to 4 p.m. on the day of reservation. Weekend rental begins at 9 a.m. on Friday and ends at noon monday. A daily usage fee will be charged on items returned after noon.

e. Any cancellations must be made seven days prior to the rental date in order to receive a full refund.

f. All items must be cleaned prior to returning or a cleaning fee will be assessed as follows: large items $50, small items $20.

g. All equipment shall be inspected upon its return by a representative of Portsmouth Outdoor Rental Center, and the patron will be charged for any damages resulting from other than normal use.

6. Responsibility: Patrons are personally responsible for all boats, motors and related equipment which they have checked out. MWR assumes no responsibility or liability once items have been removed from the premises, and the patron is responsible for any insurance coverage which may be necessary.

7. Fees and Charges: Minimum fees and charges will be made as may be necessary to support the operation of Portsmouth outdoor Rental Center.
