Test results are sent by the client through the electronic medium to NM Medical at the end of business hours for analysis. Strengths

The company enjoys very strong brand equity in western India & Bengaluru, as well as in parts of Middle East, North Africa and USA.

With investments in high-end equipment, the company offers superior services than the competition.

The company has over 400 employees comprising of expert doctors, medical & administrative staff.

The company in addition to patients has a large base of loyal customers including health conscious individuals, corporate customers, celebrities, and international patients who visit NM Medical centres frequently. This has led to the continued success of NM Medical as they received an overwhelming response and experienced no cannibalization at the Chowpatty centre when the company opened a new centre at Marine Lines (~1km away).

The company enjoys excellent relationships with their suppliers who extend deferred credit to them.

NM Medical test reports are widely accepted by all doctors who often direct their patients to NM Medical centres for any prescribed test.

The management is forward-looking and is interested in taking the business to the next level. Dr. Nilesh Shah is ably supported by his son Rahil who returned to India after completing his studies from The Wharton School two years ago.

Financials

Current revenue ~Rs. 60 Cr. This is expected to increase significantly in near future as revenues kick-in from the new centres.

Future plans

The company is considering various growth options which include – o Further expansion in India. o Enter new markets like Middle East and North Africa where the company

already enjoys strong brand equity. o Diversify sources of revenue by taking up new business initiatives with

minimal capital investment (e.g. blood collection, healthcare HR & training, mobile-pathology, etc).
