When it came to updating our Jet 9 RDO,our engineering team had a tough job - how do you improve aframe that has already surpassed rigorous design and testingparameters as well as garnered glowing reviews from media andriders around the globe? The answer lies in the details. We haveupdated the Jet 9 RDO to new standards, added a sleek carbonrocker link and found every place where updates can improvestrength, weight and performance. Expertise radiates from thecarbon forms and owing lines that have to be just so ratherthan just another. Any bike can take you from here to there, onlythe Jet 9 RDO can do it with the panache you expect from Niner.

DESIGN

The swooping curves and strong lines of this frame began withtesting data based on our own and competitors products, helpingus to determine baseline tube shapes and thicknesses forbest performance. Applied to a set of design parameters, thisdata also drove our targets for strength, stiffness and dampingcharacteristics. The result - an aesthetically striking form whosecurves are functionally derived.

This updated version adds custom carbon upper rockers with aforged alloy lower linkage combined with 142x12mm spacing.Jet 9 RDO riders will experience one of the most efcient powertransfers in full suspension mountain bikes, period.

CVA SUSPENSION

The Jet 9 RDO features Niners patented CVA suspension (U.S.Patent No. 7,934,739) and delivers 100mm of fully active travelwith superb compliance and damping via a Custom valved FoxFloat CTD Factory shock with Trail Adjust and Kashima Coat.For those seeking the advantages of 29 wheels combined withpedaling efciency across all possible chainring combinations,CVA results in a faster and smoother ride.

PERFORMANCE GEOMETRY

The Jet 9 RDO is a carbon speedster above all. Precise handlingis the primary goal of the Jet 9 design and the geometry strikesa balance between stability and maneuverability. The Jet 9 RDOworks well with 100 to 120mm forks, allowing riders to furtherne tune the ride. Riders who choose a 100mm fork will discoverhandling traits inspired by our hard tail racing frames. Fitting a120mm fork will result in a trail machine that delivers the smooth
