NEXT GENERATION LNGTRAIN A cost effective solution for onshore LNG development | March 2014 QUICK FACTS Reduced specific cost compared to conventional modularised LNG trains in high cost locations. System based modularisation reduces inter-module connections. 50% reduction in the number of modules and less hook-up interfaces. 30% reduction in structural steel weight. 60% reduction in site man-hours alleviates labour shortage issues. Reduced hydrocarbon inventory improves safety. Next Generation LNG reduces specific cost of LNG projects by optimising the module design of the LNG trains and minimising onsite construction. Next generation LNG trains differ from conventional onshore modular LNG trains: Significantly larger modules resulting in lower number of modules per train and less interconnections between modules; More systems within a module with air fin coolers integrated with equipment resulting in reduced interconnections between modules. Entire process systems located in a single module allows for testing and pre- commissioning in the assembly yard; Substantial reduction in structural steel framing was achieved by better design and locating the equipment and piping to suit the primary structural steel design; Locating propane condenser module as a bridge in between process modules reduces congestion within the train. By effective modularisation, large LNG trains can be constructed with 4 to 5 modules. Layout philosophy is to contain process systems, including air fin coolers and substations, within a single module to minimise interconnections and maximise yard pre-commissioning. All major equipment is located around the periphery of the module to provide access for maintenance and operation. Specific cost of LNG production can be substantially reduced by efficient modularisation, structural steel framing, testing and pre commissioning in assembly yard. www.woodside.com.au Further information: Woodside can help create Next Generation Onshore LNG Plants to meet the growing demand for affordable LNG as a clean fuel of the future. NEXT GENERATION LNG TRAINA cost effective solution for onshore LNG development | March 2014

QUICK FACTS Reduced specific cost compared to

conventional modularised LNG trains in high cost locations.

Next generation LNG trains differ from conventional onshore modular LNG trains:

 Significantly larger modules resulting in lower number of modules per train and less interconnections between modules;

 More systems within a module with air fin coolers integrated with equipment resulting in reduced interconnections between modules. Entire process systems located in a single module allows for testing and pre-commissioning in the assembly yard;

 Substantial reduction in structural steel framing was achieved by better design and locating the equipment and piping to suit the primary structural steel design;

 Locating propane condenser module as a bridge in between process modules reduces congestion within the train.
