No Year 2 Swimming

in Spring 2 Term As you already know, there will be no swimming sessions for Year 2 throughout this half term. We will resume in June.

CLUB PAYMENTS: We ask you to pay a contribution towards Teddy Sport, Dance and Brazilian Soccer Club. This is to help us cover the cost of hiring external experts to coach these activities. The clubs are £5 for the half term (or half price if your child receives Pupil Premium). Many families have still not paid for their clubs from this or last half term. We have already sent out reminder letters but please ask at the office if you’re not sure what you owe. Thank you.

Wood End Family Cookery Book We have come up with a fantastic fundraising initiative for the school and we hope you can help us to make it a success! We would be grateful if you could send in your favourite family recipe and we will select some to print in a cookery book.

Many different cultures are represented in our Wood End family, so we are hoping to include a variety of tasty recipes from all over the world. Please send in your recipes and if possible a nice photo of the finished meal. It would be great if the recipes are simple enough for children to help to make. We hope to put the book on sale in the summer term and raise money for the school. It should be a lovely souvenir of your child’s time at Wood End.

No Nuts!

It is REALLY IMPORTANT that you do not send your child to school

with food containing nuts.

One of our staff members has a very serious allergy. Even being in the same room as nuts or nut products could make her very ill.

Nut allergies are common and the school already has a ‘no nuts’ policy but it is vital that we all take extra care to stick to this!

Please be vigilant, nuts can be in lots of food, including snacks and cereal bars, gluten-free and vegan food, nut milks and nut butters (including the hazelnut chocolate spread Nutella!) Always check the label and err on the side of caution.
