STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENTS
AND GOAL SETTING
“Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned
in school.”
-Albert Einstein
Victorious Kidss Educares offers a variety of Career and University counseling services. We work with upper level MYP
and DP students in order make sure they have all the information they need to decide what path to choose after they
complete the IB Diploma or Middle Years Programme. We organize information sessions on different topics, conduct
Aptitude & Psychometric tests, take students to several university fairs and career-related events and work one-on-one
with students to determine college choices, assist with college applications and to issue important documents.
* A moment of Glory for us as the School celebrates its IBDP 2019 results with a 42 grade point as our highest
level!! Our DP graduating students have already gained successful placements in best universities across the
world!!
Students who are already in MYP4 should start thinking about career and university choices. It is important that they
make concrete plans on where they want to study by the end of DP1. In the period between MYP4 and DP1, students
are provided with a myriad of information to make these plans. They receive this information via Youngbuzz and
Students Admission tracking system, workshops as well as in group and individual sessions. Our counselors are always
available to answer additional questions.
VKE graduates have received offers from many prestigious institutions such as University College London (UCL),
Edinburgh University, NABA-Italy, King’s College-London, University of Sydney-Sydney, Erasmus University, Shiv
Nadar University-Bangalore, MIT-ID-Pune, Garden City University-Chennai, Frankfurt School of Finance &
Management-Germany, University of Manchester- Oxford Road, Manchester, Monash University-Australia, IE
University- Spain, and University of Melbourne. In order to be able to gain entry to highly selective universities,
students need to make sure they have the highest possible grades (starting in MYP4), a well-balanced portfolio of
extra-curricular activities (leadership, community service & work experience, sports & creative activities), excellent
references from their teachers, and if applicable, strong test scores. Students also need to submit complete and well-
drafted application documents. At times, it can take 1-2 months or longer to put together a strong university application.
It is crucial that students stay on top of their applications and that they plan ahead.
We assist them at every step along the way. However, students need to be proactive and communicate their questions
and needs to respective counselors. If you would like to contact our team to schedule a consultation, please email us at
[email protected]. We look forward to hearing from you!

SAT Test Dates
2019 - 2020
When to Take the SAT
The SAT can be taken any time starting your freshman year. However, most students take the test in the spring of their junior
year. Doing so will give you enough time to take the test twice, which is highly recommended, as 67 percent of students improve
their score the second time around. Once you receive your initial test results in your junior year, you'll know your weak points
and can prepare to retake the test if you so choose. If you're not satisfied with your initial score, you can take the test for the
second time in the fall of your senior year.
When to Start Preparing for the SAT
For those serious about getting a superior score on the SAT, it's never too soon to start preparing. However, most students begin
preparing for the SAT in the spring or summer before their junior year, as it gives them enough time to take the test, find their
weak points from the first go-around and then take the SAT again in the fall of their senior year. We will be providing in-house
SAT coaching, details of which will be provided to the students.

Applying to University-What you
need to know? If you are in year 12, you’ll be starting to think about University. Universities will do their bit to
catch your eye, with glossy prospectuses, cool websites and a ‘top 10 in the league tables’ claim.
When you go to open days you’ll be greeted with smiling faces, a slick course presentation. The
cynic will say that universities simply want your money and will bend over backwards to encourage
you to make them your first choice. The rise in unconditional offers gives us some indication of
their motives. Therefore it’s important to see beyond the glitz and glamour and make a decision
purely on what’s right for you. But what is right for you? Here are 14 points to consider which can
help you to make the right choice.
1. Course content – degrees with the same name can vary in content, so it’s important to get a
good understanding of the modules you’ll be covering over the three or so years.
2. Course flexibility – within each degree, you may have some flexibility over the modules you
can do. Certain modules will be mandatory, others optional.
3. League Table Position – no one should make a decision purely on league table position.
However, it’s worth a look to get an idea of how they compare. Focus more on the subject league
tables rather than the overall league table.
4. Teaching Excellence Framework – this is a fairly new criterion that universities are rated on,
mainly in response to the focus on research carried out by universities to the detriment of
teaching quality. Ratings are simply gold, silver and bronze.
5. Contact time – the majority of your contact time will be in lectures. Depending on the degree,
you could also have smaller group seminars and/or tutorials. Total contact time can vary.
6. Class sizes – Beyond the lectures it’s worth finding out typical numbers in seminars and
tutorials.
7. Accommodation cost – there can be a big difference in the cost of first year halls within and
between universities. If you know that you could feel a financial squeeze, this is something worth
considering.
8. Big City/Small town – Of course, there is life beyond the campus. Do you want to go somewhere
with a great nightlife and a thriving shopping centre or perhaps nearby countryside and twee
coffee shops is more your thing.
9. Campus – would you prefer a university where everything is all on one site; accommodation,
lecture halls, library, sports facilities etc. Or would you be happier feeling part of a local
community?
10. Extra curricular activities – What sports, clubs and societies exist? What are the thriving ones?
11. Work placement opportunities – For sandwich courses, it’s worth finding out the percentage
of students who actually go out on placement for the year. For those who seek a placement, how
much support is given by the university to find one?
12. Graduate prospects – what is the success rate for job seeking grads? What types of employment
do they find?
13. Coursework v Exams – how much of the degree is assessed by coursework and how much by
exams? This can be a big deal to some people.

Internships provide students with hands-on learning experience even as they gain a glimpse into the real world, giving them a front
row seat to a potential career choice. They go into the internship thinking they want to work at a specific company or in a specific
industry and they come out of the internship either having confirmed those thoughts or having decided to pursue something
completely different.
A summer internship stands out on a student’s resume and is among the best things a young person can do to prepare for the real
world and college graduation.
Our students participated in hands-on departmental projects as well as an enrichment program that includes networking
opportunities, professional development and community service activities. Some of the internship placements are: Conrad, Minimax,
Huge Technocrat, Khairnar Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Manikprem Ltd., Mahindra Vehicles Manufactures Ltd., etc
