“Lunch & Learn” with Kathy Weidner Monday, July 30, 2018
12:00 pm Garden Room
Topic: “GOT MILK?” An over view of the value of Dairy in the Diet
Join us for a discussion of the value of dairy in the diet. Eating dairy
products (milk, cheese and yogurt) helps to close the gap on nutrients of
public concern: calcium, potassium, and vitamin D. Consuming adequate
dairy is also associated with reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, type two
diabetes, increased bone health and lower blood pressure. Nutrition experts disagree,
and we will review opinions on amounts and types of dairy to add to the diet, i.e. non
-fat versus full-fat dairy and milk versus yogurt. We will also touch on lactose
intolerance and osteoporosis. Please call Kathy Weidner, Cypress Dietitian to
reserve a place at the table at 704-714-5551.

with the contemporary and because of his
training and his love for all kinds of music,
he is not tied to any one style. John is a
professional singer and musician who
prefers to sing and entertain with the use
of accompaniment tracks, engaging the audience. He is also a
gifted pianist.
