Term 42018 8 October to 21 December Last day of Term 4 Early Dismissal 1:30pm NEWSLETTER Our School Message From The Principal Seeking Volunteers For Election Day BBQ Our school will be used as a vong staon on Saturday 24 November 2018. We are seeking volunteers from our school community to run a sausage sizzle and cake stall on the day. Your help is greatly appreciated by the students who will benefit from all the funds raised. If you are able to assist please complete the form that was sent home yesterday with the eldest child per family and return to the office no later than Wednesday 21 November. Please note the volunteers for elecon day form is also available online on our school website, our facebook page and classdojo. Cake Stall We are asking families if possible to donate a cake, biscuits or a slice to the school to sell at the cake stall on elecon day. We have provide the plate, plasc bag and ingredient label. If you choose to buy something for the cake stall please cut out the ingredients on the pack and sck it on the outside of the plasc bag. Donaons need to be brought to the school on Friday 23 November in the morning or aſternoon and can be leſt in the staffroom. Parent Helpers/Volunteers Special Morning Tea To say thanks to all our wonderful Parent Helpers / Volunteers, we will be holding our Special Thank You Morning Teaon Thursday 6 December in the staffroom at 11:00am. The partnership we share with our parents is crucial to the success of our school. So many of our parents support our work in such diverse ways. From School Council, Sub-commiees, Classroom Support, Sports Assistance, Garden Club, Breakfast Club, Excursions, Guest Speaking and Fundraising just to name a few. To show our appreciaon we would love for you to come along. Invitaons will be sent home soon. Whole School Celebration Preparaons are well under way for our celebraon evening on Wednesday 12 December. This is a great opportunity to celebrate a wonderful year of learning, fun and friendships. We will have jumping castles, sausage sizzle, treats and drinks stall, book fair, face painng and various Sports Acvies. Our Christmas Raffle will also be drawn that evening. A flier will be sent home shortly. We hope to see you all there to cele- brate a wonderful year at Sunshine Primary School. Staffing Updates We are currently working through teacher recruitment, class lists and teacher placements. We will publish these in our final newsleer for 2018. 2019 School Council Project Last week I met with students in grades 4 and 5 to brainstorm ideas for next years School Council project. Lots of ideas came up mainly around improving the outdoor play spaces. Therefore the School Council project for 2019 will be a School Captain and Junior School Council playground improvement project. Once School Captains and the Junior School Council have been elected we will conduct further consultaon and keep you posted. PREP BUDDIES The role of a Prep buddy plays a crucial part in our Prep program. It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to mentor and role model to the newest members of the Sunshine School community.
