DIWALI DHAMAKA at DPS,GBN!
A was organised at for the !rstDiwali Fete Delhi Public School, GBNtime since its inception, on November 1,2015 Dr. Sudipta.The fete was inaugurated byGhose , Member , Schoo l Manag ingCommittee and graced by the presence of ourPro Vice -Chairperson, Mr. Vineet Nayyar,Mrs. Reva Nayyar, Member, SchoolManaging Committee,Mrs. Nina Sehgal,eminent educationist and Mrs. Meeta Rai,Principal, DPS, Indirapuram. Lined withstalls selling jewellery, clothes, gifts, toys,painted diyas,stationary, greeting cards and anarray of mouthwatering eateries, the mela wasa treat for everyone. Children were seen havingfun at their favourite rides like ' Giant Wheel ' ,' Co lumbus ' and the va r i ous gamesstalls.People "ocked to the in-house stallswhich had a beautiful display of lamp shades,diyas and other hand crafted products made bythe pre-primary teachers of our school. Therewere at different times of the daylucky drawsand exciting gifts like LED television, washingmachine, microwave and many others weregiven to the lucky winners.This cherished dream of our Principal, Mrs.
Indira Kohli but also a vehicle for, was not only a time of fun and frolic ,a social cause proceeds donated to Bal. The from the fete have beenSahyog; an organisation which works for the underpriviledged.
STATE ATHELETICS MEET

on 12 and 13 September, 2015 inth th
Lucknow. The students performed well andwere appreciated for their efforts. About 2000students from India and abroad took part inthis Athletics Meet. The DM of Lucknow Mr.Anil Kumar Sagar inaugurated the meet and"agged off a series of events. The students of DPS GBN wereaccompanied by their coach Mr. Virender Kumar. The Principal Mrs.Indira Kohli applauded the students' efforts and encouraged them toalways perform their best.
TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT
The School's Table Tennis Team was rankedthird in the UP State Inter School Table
Tennis Championship held in Lucknow from14 to 16 November , 2015 .

Championship was among the top teams fromall districts of Uttar Pradesh.DPS GBN's teamproved its metal by securing a place among thetop three teams. Kudos to the young champs!

The Founder's day wasgraced by the members of Delhi PublicSchool Society,and the Chairman, ViceChairman, Pro Vice Chairman of theSchool Management Committee and themembers of Delhi Public School, GBN alongwith the Principals of other DPS schools andneighbouring schools of NCR. The functionbegan with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, Prof.
Vibha Chaturvedi, distinguished guests, Mr.Vineet Nayyar and Mrs. Reva Nayyar. Themomentous day was witnessed by the ParentRepresentatives, grandparents and parentsof the school. The chool BandS along with theSchool Choir Crescendo presented asonorous note ,“Bharat Anokha Raag Hai'”a treat for the music lovers. This was followedby the Welcome Speech by the Principal Ms.Indira Kohli and the release of the Brochuretitled“The Count of Monte Cristo”by theChief Guest and the other dignitaries. Onthis occasion “An Art Gallery” was alsoorganized by the Art Department named“Srijan” which showcased the talent of ourbudding Picassos.
The evening became delightfully entertainingwith the musical Broadway' The Count of
Monte Cristo' which was staged for the occasion that evoked in all asense of excitement and experience of unprecedented success. Themusical play enthralled and engaged the audience on one hand onandthe other developed among the students sensitivity, self-con!dence andteam spirit as the innate sterling talents of the students blossomed intojoyful expression as they performed on the stage. The vote of thanks wasproposed by the Coordinator Senior Ms. Bha na Khanna. The Mega( ) wEvent culminated with a motivating address given by the Chief GuestMs. Vibha Chaturvedi and Mr. Vineet Nayyar Pro Vice Chairman of DPS,GBN ,to the audience who appreciated the hard work behind the successstory of the Founder's Day.
