2014 LEADING LADIES LUNCHEON

Hello Leading Ladies,

I hope everyone is having a good start to the summer! It was wonderful seeing so many returning and new Leading Ladies at this past May’s luncheon and I am excited to be chairing this incredible group in the upcoming year!

For those of you unable to join us at the Luncheon, no worries! We have a full calendar of social and volunteer events scheduled to allow us to get to know one another as well as support the mission of TUTS (see below for schedule).

As a group, we have had great growth and advancement in our areas of involvement: TUTS Education and TUTS Underground. I have been incredibly proud to be part of this group and all that we have accomplished and look forward to continuing our upward momentum.

If you have suggestions or thoughts regarding the Leading Ladies, I encourage you to share them with me. I love hearing feedback and we want to make sure each Leading Lady is involved as a member. I look forward to seeing you soon at our next event, the June Leading Ladies Happy Hour at Okra!

UPCOMING EVENTS

LEADING LADIES HAPPY HOUR

TUTS has been chosen as one of OKRA Charity Saloon’s four charities to compete in their June competition. When you purchase a drink (alcoholic or non-

alcoholic) and/or food at OKRA, you receive a ticket that you can use to cast your vote for one of the four charities competing that month. The charity with

the most votes at the end of the month wins next month’s proceeds. TUTS needs your vote!

We invite the Leading Ladies to “vote” at a special Happy Hour on Thursday, June 26th at Okra! Meet, mingle and get to know your fellow Leading Ladies

while toasting TUTS. We hope you will join us and encourage you to bring friends and family. A victory for TUTS would mean a significant donation to our life-changing education programs, which include Humphreys School of

Musical Theatre, the River Performing and Visual Arts Center, and Classes in the Community. In the past, winning charities have won up to $20,000!

Theatre District Open House

Theatre District Open House will be here before you know it! For those of you who may not be aware, every year the Alley Theatre, Hobby Center for the Performing Arts,

Wortham Theater Center and Jones Hall open their doors and provide backstage tours, special performances and deals on ticket subscription packages. TUTS of course will be

on hand to promote the coming season and we could use your help!

Shift information will be sent out as the date nears, but in the meantime, if you are interested in volunteering, please mark your calendars!

The 2014 Leading Ladies

Luncheon was a fascinating

afternoon! Returning and new

ladies mingled in their fabulous

fascinator hats and reflected on

the accomplishments of the

group this past year.

The event was an amazing

success bringing membership

this year to 80 members and

raising over $15,000 for TUTS

Education Programs. The

event also helped kick-off the

Leading Ladies Take TUTS

Underground fundraising

campaign.
