Concert with studentsThe Italian jazz cellist and double-bassist Paolo Damiani & the Italian piano master Danilo Rea are this weeks Artists in Residence at the Jazz Department of the CvA. Performing primarily in the avant-garde jazz and post bop mediums,. Damiana has performed over his career with a vast array of professional jazz musicians, including Gianluigi Trovesi, Ken-ny Wheeler, Tony Oxley, Paolo Fresu and John Taylor. Danilo made his debut with the Rome Trio (with Roberto Gatto and Enzo Pietropaoli). Rea has performed with Chet Baker, Lee Konitz, Steve Grossman, Phil Woods a.o.
