On Saturday 1st, Palio market all day long, Children Parade in the afternoon and, from 4pm, General Trials of the horse race; from 8.30pm banquets in the districts of the town competing to propitiate the victory. On Sunday 2nd, from 3.30 pm, the exciting bareback horse race takes place in Piazza Alfieri where 14 Rioni and Borghi (districts) of the city and 7 towns of the province challenge themselves. Before the race, at 2 pm, a parade with more than 1200 people in historical costumes starts from Piazza Cattedrale (Cathedral Square).
