A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT (continued)

As Civil Engineers we can remain safely mired in the repetition of previous designsor we can strive for excellence in the design and application of proven theoremscoupled with sound engineering judgement and boldly move into 1986. Lapel pinsreading 'CE - Commitment to Excellence' are available through ASCE for the asking.Let's have each of us commit to this premise and be an integral part in shapingOrange County.

The Orange County Branch, with over i, 300 assigned members and over 750 dues-

paying members, would rank high in the nation among Sections. While we remain apart of the Los Angeles Section, benefiting from the association, we can still maintaina separate identity, aiive and vital within the County. Come to the next meeting, bring a friend, and experience the benefits of being an Orange County Branch Member.Enjoy the exchange of ideas and voice your opinions.
